IPKKND was a hit because it was completely new to the screens. I remember Madhubala from colours being so famous and people going crazy over RK so I decided to watch it again during lockdown but it was so toxic. I'm so glad that I didn't watch it while it was being aired because I would've had such bad impressions of how a man should treat his wife!
EK shows do go on in a very long loop. Kumkum Bhagya is still running and Pragya and Abhi still have black hair and no wrinkles. Abhi's dadi is still alive
I guess NBT was the one who achieved massive hit due to how realistic and grounded the ML was. Also the romance between FL and ML was very realistic!! Mohan Bhatnagar is one of a kind ML whose character cannot be copied or revamped!!
