Yep for sure. I touched on that myself on a lot of other threads. He has serious abandonment issues from when his mom left him and patching things up with his mom doesn't mean that they're gone. They're the underlying reason for why he reacts so impulsively, extremely, to protect and keep those he loves in his life.

I just hope he grows a little bit more to be confident. Its ITV so they won't ever mention abandonment issues, or show him going to therapy, so my last resort is that it just happens as he realizes his loved ones are here to stay.
