We have pasupu kunkam, jeela karra bellam ,talambraalu etc in wedding I dont have any hope they will show any of these they dont even show satyanarayan pooja for raghvi which is so important after marraige so I dont have any expectations now

Jaya had planned a SatyaNārāyaṇa pūjā the day after the wedding (May 10 episode), but she couldn’t go through with it because Sharada informed her that Raghav had forced Pallavi. A thanksgiving pūjā after ruining someone’s life would have been sacrilegious, right? And when Jaya wanted the pūjā to happen anyway, Pallavi had a fever. But after Raghav promised to give wifely rights to Pallavi and Pallavi accepted Raghav as her husband, Jaya should have remembered SatyaNārāyaṇa.

Everyone’s comments in this thread have been so informative for me, as I have no knowledge of these distinctions. Now I know that I have to be careful about what I learn from this show. I hope “Iti Raghav Rao vāgdānam” is correct Telugu; Raghav shouted it at Pallavi once, so I used it in my fan fiction story. I misspelled “Nānna” as “Nānā” but I’ve corrected it now. Thank you all.

That's one Telugu sentence that I understood immediately because the words are Saṃskṛta. Thanks for the confirmation.

Coming to idi raghav rao vagdanam is like "virajiye... Jal grahan kariye" instead of saying "aayiye paani pijiye"... I hope you get the difference.. he could have simply said, "idi Raghav rao Maata" (again maata is not "ta" as in cheeta but "ta" as in "taal")

Thank god, you took the effort of correcting naanna😊 and I appreciate it..

The white “veshti” is draped around the waist by Tamilians. Many politicians ( among others) can be seen wearing crisp white veshtis in Tamilnadu.

Keralites wear it similarly but call it “mundu”.

When the veshti Is worn like a pant/ dhoti it’s called “panchakacham” in Tamil. This is a more formal way of draping the veshti, usually priests and those doing pooja wear panchakacham.

the lungi is more colorful and casual - many times it’s a circular piece of colorful fabric with the two ends stitched/fused together.
