Dhara and rishita need to have strong screen presence and scenes to make the audience connect and like them.

Raavis character is already loved, one shivi scene and we are bowled over with her innocence, connect with her pain, appreciate her efforts.

Her 30 seconds crying scene had an impact that has left us ranting, feeling bad, angry on shiva, wanting her to be loved and protected at all costs.

While dhara needed to be insulted by mohalle wali aunties, taunted by her saas, have a breakdown to make us feel for her.

@bold: this is unfortunately true! And until this is the case, shivi are going to be lollipops here and there, with a super slow progression, punctuated by all these other characters and their story

Our attachment to shivi is far too strong than to the other characters, so the makers need to show more of them and get away with showing almost anything/almost nothing for shivi 😕

When DevTa were introduced, they were hated... Rishita was introduced as a girl who only cares for her own happiness along with Dev's... and as sad as it seems, Dev was willing to go against his family (even his Dhara bhabi) for Rishita. They were portrayed as a selfish couple who were willing to let all their principles go loose if it meant they could stay with each other. That was what made them unique.

Ever since Rishita's 180 changeover, she's becoming more and more like Shiva... (it might make her tolerable, but good writing never makes every character the same... the more unique and versatile the characters, the better the storyline). Her on-fire dialogues a few episodes back should have been reserved for Shiva... even Raavi makes sense as she's grown up with the Pandya family. But why is someone, who's only known Dhara for about 2 months, standing up for her if in the beginning of her marriage, she despised Dhara's core being?

And why are they reverse progressing with Shiva and Raavi? Why is Shiva more emotional than a 2 year old toddler? And why is Raavi a mute spectator? Why is DevTa stealing ShiVi's characterization when they can have an entire storyline just devoted to them?!?!

Whenever DevTa come on screen, I feel like I'm watching ShiVi gender swapped who fell in love and married Come on CVs... reserve ShiVi for ShiVi and bring me actual DevTa back. Arrogant Rishita was much more tolerable than this entire baby track.

I soo wanted Rishita to be grey.

Arrogant, self centered, mean.

Just like she was in the beginning, poles apart from dhara and raavi, with a slowly developing character arc, gradually realising the importance of family.

Dev being frustrated sometimes, loving sometimes.not the perfect husband but not also someone who just shuts her up every time.

But instead they turn her into a hero or a clown.

Very inconsistent writing.

I have no idea why they are doing this, but somehow it's working out for them.

I still feel that shivi are not completely ruined.the coming episodes will either prove ne wrong or right.

whether that is extra shifts at the store, bringing in new products to expand their customer base, some of them venturing out of the store and doing other jobs or finding other ways to make money

I would have even liked a scene where krish does something ulta to make money because he is so stressed and he gets caught and they give him a good life lesson about it

it's really the small things that can straighten out the mess they're in but no they just want to do nach gaana all the time

This is lovely! I would have loved to see something like this. They could have even brought in Shiva-dev conflict here by showing that both of them have different strategies and approaches to tackle issues: dev being more bookish or cautious, vs Shiva bring more practical or street smart, and the dynamics there. Which family member supports who. If Raavi understood and supported Shiva here, we could have got great shivi progression too

But these makers 🤢🤪

Also it's unfortunate that such tracks don't bring TRPs 🤪

Exactly, we are attached to shivi, and like us many people who watch it on tv also are.

they literally have no story after shivi confession.so they are going to drag it as far as they can.because shiva has already fallen in love, raavi has accepted this marriage.after the mu is cleared there is nothing to stop them from a confession.so now they are going to explore other characters and create drama to connect to the new audience, while giving few shivi scenes here and there to keep the old audience entertained.

you would think that after having their store out on loan for 10 years, they would understand the importance of returning borrowed money in a timely manner

you would think that they would have more presence of mind when it comes to money - instead of showing us lollipop scenes of refusing rishita clothes because they don't have money, maybe they can show a scene of gaumbi putting his foot down that they cannot celebrate every single thing in such a lavish way

there has to be some limitations and it's not like the event won't be a success if it isn't so grand

Bhagwanji looks at your intention, not your shor sharaba - not to mention they never seem to do the puja part of the puja

Right!

Puja karni nai bass kaand karne hain🤪

P. S you are too cute ashu😘

There's so much to explore, OG se inspire hoke they can create so many tracks.

Even after shivi confession their story need not to stop. Phir kis baat k writer hain ye🤪

I don't understand their strategy. They just jumble the tracks

First they mixed the bathroom and bedroom track. Both these could have been done separately.

Then they mixed bedroom( privacy) track with bachha track and messed things so badly.

Now evey thing is about bacha bacha and bacha.ab bacha aa b jayega to seriously muje khushi nai hogi🤪

Kya hai ye? 😂

another inconsistency as milkwa mentioned is dev, post-leap they never showed him as someone whose world revolved around dhara (as they showed shiva) and rather he would always be busy in receiving phone calls from rishita and meeting up with her because he was that invested in her

after marriage he's got some weird dhara jhaap going on that he didn't really have before and it's throwing in both rishita and us for a loop 🤪

That's the unfortunate truth.

I don't want to be offensive to anyone but the target audience of itv are usually middle aged housewives who relate much more to the problems faced by a newly wed woman in her in laws house.the online fandom constitute a very small fraction of the audience.star plus is a channel watched in the most remote of villages.

Even if everyone on this forums and every fan on twitter stops watching the show, it won't significantly affect the ratings.

There was an interview of radhika madan who had said why tv shows are ott dramatic?

She answered.

" Most women watch tv while doing some chores like cutting the vegetables, taking care of their kid, doing some household work.so the slow progress and dramatic bgm, repetition of dlgs holds their attention "

I had found this funny, but I guess it makes sense now.

The trp Topper show is a living example of that.it doesn't have a love story,.almost every woman who watches tv watches that show.the theme? A middle aged woman gave up her career and dedicated her whole life to her kids and husband only to be brutally betrayed.how is her journey?
