IMHO cvs failed to build Pallavi's backstory like they did to Raghav. They didn't show any reason why Pallavi is obsessed with D's over her own brother.

They should have shown some flashbacks in beginning to build strong reason for her gratitude toward D's. Like scene after Mandar's death how society wanted her to be the widow and live different life but D's protected her and encouraged her to live her life. But alas nothing of that sort was shown.

Viewers connect with the characters when they see it happening rather than being told in words

This is probably the best and most reasonable explanation as to exactly why people are having such a hard time understanding Pallavi.

We have a hard time truly understanding her attachment to D fam to this extent and that's the CVs fault for not showing us that. All we ever see is Pallavi running behind them but we never see a reciprocation from them, except Aayi + Kaka. Even when SKB and her were on good terms, he never treated her especially well and he quickly about-faced and threw her out so his history with her seems superficial. She's only known them for 2-3 years so it's hard to imagine how she could place them at such a high level where she's even risking her current married life for them. Even her farz, what word did she use, kartavyat? It's like, well why does she even think that - she was married to the man for less than 24 hrs. It doesn't make much sense based on what we were shown.

I wish the CVs thought more vs rushing into this track. It would have been much more palatable to show these things, even as flashbacks so we could understand better. They really could've shown Pallavi contemplating all the love and support D fam (rolling my eyes here LOL) gave her and why that was pushing her to prioritize helping Mandar over all else. But nope, they refuse to give us moments of Pallavi contemplating her life except for when she's missing Raghav (which is fine too but she exists outside of her relationship with Raghav).

@bold- this makes a lot of sense.. Incase of Raghav, its easy to relate to his blind love for his family because one they are blood related, two he is the eldest and only son left to take care of his ageing mother and only sister so makes sense why he would be so blind...

In Pallavi's case, we have seen her toil day in and day out for that family without much reciprocation/help/support from the family..barring Ayi who was there emotionally for her but couldn't share her problems/worries which is partly Pallavi's fault too.. She has this tendency which almost all ITV FL's have which is to bear all the burden single handedly. Point is whatever she says about her in laws being there for her after Mandhar died etc etc is all words..we never actually got to see how the family and Pallavi coped after Mandhar' death. That's why it becomes hard to relate to her unrealistic attachment to that family..excluding Ayi and Kaka here. Now this "mere baba" has completely thrown me off.. Farz, kartavya ek limit me rehke accha lagta hai. Apna ghar fuk ke dusre ke ghar me diya jalana kaha ki samajhdari hai. No one will have a problem with her helping Mandhar if she does it within limits.. giving in to a ridiculous kasam and then crying helplessly...All she had to say for me to get onboard with this track, is say she is doing it for Ayi and Mandhar.. not baba..

Otherwise she used to look little tired earlier especially at start of Kirti accident track .

Agreed with all your points, but i find it difficult to believe that most viewers are women here, how hard is it to imagine a young widow's hardship specially whose husband died on the first night. Why does one need to be shown all of this, we have seen it in the past in reel and real life? The amount of taunts and blame she must have faced, it is not complete unknown, but people tend to forget.

But anyway, like i said some fans have gone above and beyond to prove their EQ, if they can support abuse and DUI, i cannot hope that they will understand the above situation even if it was flashed on screen 10 times.

If you go back to Aai and Pallavi's first scene. From the promos it was evident that Aai is not her biological mother, yet when Aai says that i am your Saas and you are my Bahu, she is taken a back. Not because Pallavi is delusional, just that she cannot accept her as her MIL anymore. I digested this idea then, so i am digesting even her savior complex. She did it for Keerthi too (and i am sure she will continue to do it), Amrutha and now Mandaar. Aare woh bas aapne Bhai- Beheno ko sambhal rahi hai, yeh saviour nahi Didi complex hai.
