This was the most touching scene for me in today’s episode. Felt very bad for Shaurya. He knows that he is surrounded by people who love him for a selfish reason like his BM or ignore him like his father. No wonder when he found love in Anokhi he was not ready to let her go any cost.

What really struck me today is Asthaa is ready to fight for Anokhi but has ignored her son for 25 years.😭 Later we will get this story of her having watched from afar. If she is a modern woman and has not divorced her husband why still not try to find a means to meet her son by engaging in a conversation with her husband. I understand she was angry with him for not having supported her, but to cut off all link and make no effort to see her son is beyond my understanding. She is a professor and not someone helpless.

She is a very strong character and her poise and confidence is there for Anokhi and Kapurthala, but beyond that boundary she is unable to function?

Devi and Tej did have a romantic moment today, thanks to the Phulka..😉

Shaan is beyond redemption, he is so engrossed in his own world and his misery that he does not see the unhappiness of his son. Is it better to have no parent than an absentee parent?

Anokhi is a darling. Her eyes sparkles whenever the matter of her education is concerned and she has the gut to fight for her right.😃 It is an enigma she has learnt these values/ got this strength from someone who has refused to fight for her son.

My heart went out for Shaurya. He is full of pain and hurting because he has never grown from the 4 year old and his BM and BP have never really considered him as their son. He is the trophy son...😡

What type of people are these thinking him of marrying him off just to score a point. 😡For them Shaurya is to be used to reach new heights..😒

It explains his madness for Anokhi. It’s one thing that he loves her but as soon as he had some acknowledgment from her side, he was all in!!

Anokhi is the only one who saw sadness in his eyes at the beginning of their relationship...

Anokhi is the only one who touched that vital chord in him and the self protecting wall started crumbling...

Anokhi is the only one who loved without expecting anything in return...

Not even with his dad. About bhallas what to say. I couldn't tolerate Mr. Bhalla at that time. And that's why I didn't like that track when easily he agreed for marriage. I mean no saf safai smiley24

I really love last line about shoes. They might not have wings but the sole will fly one day. She has a dream and for that she can do anything. And she applied for admission in SIAC that is a huge turnover in her life.

Aastha was the only person who always corrected Mr. Bhalla. She was not frightened at all. She has courage to tell the truth. I must say anokhi got this quality from her only.

I think we all agree that the white washing of Mr. Bhalla was hard to digest. I think that was worse than the Tejvi 'redemption'. I really want a season 2 to explore the future of these relationships.

She is hard and soft in one go. Can fight and take flight.

I think Ramesh does not know what to do when women don't cower. He loses his wits. It's sad and hilarious. And so he resorts to insults and punishment.
Actually about in 2012 I used to watch a show where they spoke about periods and I remember a huge hue and cry on IF on it's not a topic for an 8:30 show. I am glad we have move to normalising some very normal things. (Not just saakk but in general) like smart thing to use birth control.

Well he did learn from the best!

But honestly, it is not a practical line of thought?

It's funny that family planning and birth control pills aren't discussed in ITV. It's reality in a lot of people's lives these days, especially girls getting married with careers that need to be cognizant of time. ITV would rather talk about the woman that hasn't gotten pregnant and how that is a blemish on the family than actual planning and concerns of fertility. I also worry that ITV just won't be sensitive even if they chose to tackle such a subject.

Kanyadaan ho jaata hai par kanya ka dhyaan koi rakhta nahi.Truly said Daughter is not property to be traded.

kanya = unmarried girl(a virgin); dhaan = donation/charity. Calling a daughter a donation doesn’t sit well with me.

Mind you, I had a full Hindu wedding and my dad did the actions of the 'kanyadaan' for ritual sake. There's a lot of wedding rituals we do that might have 'meaning' but are irresponsible to continue. The idea that we still consider girls something we give away; girls have a sasuraal and maayka, what do guys have then?

There's a ritual where the girl touches her husbands feet for ashirwaad before receiving sarees from his family(in Kerala). There is no reciprocation of that. The guy never touches the girl's feet.

The baraat comes to take the girl away. Why? Again why do we give away our daughters but not our sons?

All the symbols of marriage fall on a girl.....chooda, sindoor, magalsutra, etc.

I'm sure there are regional customs that I'm not even privy to as well.

This is an issue that wasn't addressed at all in the show. Aastha found a replacement child to mentor, while not checking in on her child. I know they mention her having watched from afar, and I assume seeing a "happy" Shaurya she must have assumed he was take care of. But the fact that she never even got updates from Shaan or even confronted Shaurya after he turned 18, makes me realize how much she actually let down her child. And no amount of mentoring Anokhi changes that. One thing Aastha did for Shaurya is playing a role in bringing Anokhi into his life; for that he can be eternally grateful.

She is a very strong character and her poise and confidence is there for Anokhi and Kapurthala, but beyond that boundary she is unable to function?

Shaurya gets to mourn his parents while still having them alive!

This is probably why he doesn't understand love. Marriage is also transactional. There's never a question of what kind of girl he needs, it's about what type of girl meets the Sabherwal standards and will accept the parampara of the family!
