Today's episode
Okay I may be in the minority but I loved today's episode. The episode started with Sairat doing Aaba's barsi pooja. Honestly I would have felt really bad if Virat didn't remember Aaba's death anniversary and went ahead in celebrating the marriage anniversary. It would have been very insensitive on his part considering he was Kamal Joshi's favourite student and also Kamal Joshi was the father and world of the girl whom he loves dearly. So I really wanted them to observe his death anniversary for quite a long time. And I am glad that they showed without asking them for this. Kudos to CVS. Sairat doing all the rituals was really endearing to watch. Sai remembering that it had been one year to his death and all the mishaps happening in her life post his death. But also she remembers the good things that happened, though not explicitly mentioning it, she realised that Virat came into her life as a blessing after his death. She remembers their first meet where she thought him to be a 32 wala Gabbar but now she got to know about the clear hearted person who was behind that Sadu inssaan. The word "Humsafar" in her mind was really a noticeable part. She acknowledged him to be her Humsafar, her better half and somewhere she wanted him for her entire life.. she might forget it, but her heart and mind registered Virat as her "Humsafar". She knew that their relationship was to get wrecked due to many misunderstandings and mostly due to Virat, but she also knew somewhere that they're not going to be separated. That's why she covered it with Aaba's wish. From this part, I remembered the birthday episode, where Kamal sir told Sai not to leave Virat, it was in her subconscious, that's why maybe she here realised that her Aaba didn't want her to leave him, that's why they're not getting separated. But that part of Kamal sir's was Sai's deep wish of not leaving him, that's why she forgave him everytime. She doesn't want to leave Virat. Now comes the Virat's part, Virat was again making a promise to Kamal sir that he wouldn't leave Sai anymore (yeah Virat should not actually promise because he would take transfer to get faraway from Sai, not blaming him though). Then telling how the relationship of duty that was started between them because of a promise given to Kamal sir turned into a beautiful relationship of love for him, was so so endearing. Virat himself may be sometimes in a trance thinking how he is so lucky in love, getting a woman like Sai in his life, when he thought he would not ever get love in his life. "Mujhe pata hi na chala, aapka dia huwa vaada nibhate nibhate, kab shaadi ke vachnon ko nibhane laga, mujhe toh ehsaas hi nahi huwa." This line is so meaningful. He acknowledged that he had been into this marriage from day 1, he started fulfilling not only the promise but also the vows of the marriage; as for him initially the marriage was a deal, but he never considered it as a deal, always upheld it's sacrilege. He realised that he made some grave mistakes and some which could take the life of his "duty". Loved how Sai took blessings from her father to become a big doctor. Now, Sai got to know about the regret of Virat that he couldn't fulfil his duty. But also made faces when she heard he was blaming 😂(that I found cute because Virat was like a small kid complaining to his father 😂). She again was angry when he called her "adiyal" but became soft when he heard him telling that he too has flaws more like she doesn't want to accept that. The look of Sai in the whole scene especially when she saw him telling how he would take care of her whole life was so priceless. She actually felt special at that moment when she knew that she would be taken care of by a man like him.
The Diya moment was so beautiful and important too. That they would take care of everything, together, equally. Panditji's words are actually foreshadowing to the upcoming storm they will pass where they have to keep each other's love and respect for each other instead of ego and insecurity. That's a test for their relationship, if they come out from that phase with flying colours (which they would), none can break their relationship. Panditji telling the truth how they're maintaining the relationship with truth and honesty, and Kamal sir being happy. Yeah… for Sai she's still his responsibility (but she forgot him telling he would take care of her throughout his life, well did she think that even after getting divorced and remarried to different persons, could he fulfill that? So bold of her to assume, she needs to understand his words and implications sometimes ~ not bashing her).
And then comes our Sunny Baba. A typical best friend as a saviour for his best friend lest he forgets and anniversary date and doesn't want to get beaten up by his wife. But Virat won't ever forget the day when got his angel bound with him in a bond of equals and a beautiful relationship. I remember Virat telling during his haldi how black ink has been poured into his life (well it was too over dramatic of him, he should know he liked Sai way before) with this decision, but now for him, the same day became the most beautiful day in his life. Sunny being the over excited being, asked when he's going to propose but Virat's stance was same ~ he wouldn't take that risk. But Sunny the saviour came with a plan. A romantic trip with proposal ðŸ¤. Well Sunny Baba, Virat got the chance but the atmosphere, don't know 😂. Well he's quite romantic no doubt, but gets nervous when the moment comes, no wonder he had 5 failed attempts to kiss and numerous failed proposals. Virat, getting over excited with the plan and getting convinced lol.
We can then see a nervous Navra with fast food to bribe his wife ( well you could have brought red roses along too..) for asking her. "Aap Kitna Kuch Karte Mere Liye.." That dialogue was so special, she knows that he does something special for her, she recognizes that effort,his way of making her special. And she also yearns to make him feel special to her, she's waiting for that moment to make him special like he does for her (well you'll definitely do ;) ). Virat, getting the opportunity, asks her for the trip but him being nervous to ask her out was so so cute. He finally made up a plan for the trip but didn't know this plan would backfire on him 😂. I loved how he said that the police department doesn't know that the marriage is a deal, so they'll find it odd if "madam" doesn't come with sir and he clearly told, he's asking her because she's his legally wedded wife, not taking any actor to be his wife.
I'm actually not pissed off when Sai told Virat to tell Pakhi. Actually both were right in their stance, considering Pakhi will create a ruckus when she'll get to know. And Virat doesn't care what the family or Pakhi thinks.
P.S. In the Precap, we can see Virat complementing whether he should propose or not, and also we can see Sai lost in Virat. She's also into him, just she has to realise that.
