even i think the same..all the dialogues and rituals pointed to that only...and ITV mein rituals are very important and dialogues foreshadowing...Mayank was going to have a strong role in the show...they needed an out and out negative character and it would have been him...lockdown ,trps everything messed it up...

savitri should have been introduced once they had fallen in love and confessed...Jaswinder was having a paid holiday in Diu 😆

In fact, I thought Mayak would blackmail Sonu and get married or live with her. Then physical abuse her. Ahaan and all would think that Sonu is like their mother who ran away. Mayank will abuse Sonu and eventually Ishqi will get clues as she has seen her maasi as a victim. Ishqi woule expose Mayank with Kartik/Raj help or even Ahaan joining at the end. Sonu would be saved and then Raj taking stand to marry Sonu in front of Sarla. Rhea was supposed to be sweet and leave the show wfter IShqaan wedding.

This was my prediction in early days. I strongly feel this was indicated adn original plan. Ishqi would think Ahaan doesnt love her but married out of pity. Ahaan would think Ishqi lovedd him under pressure. I wish there was no TRP pressure on writers

yup that is why i said mayank had a strong role to play ...this is exactly i think what the plot was supposed to be...

and yes the alst part..ishqi thinking he is taking pity on her and ahaan too confused and in denial ..rhea realizing the truth and exiting post wedding...and then the journey of falling in love...

I wasn't aware of the lockdown there initially so it took me too by surprise when some of those foreshadowing in the initial episodes didn't come true. I thought maybe it was just to keep the viewers guessing. The track would've been super tight and I assume the TRPs high too since viewers usually love that kind of stuff.
