Wow, okay, what was that precap. These people gave us a regular and decent episode, but then with that precap aisa googly maara, that I am left stunned, thinking ki kal kya hoga.
So we start with day 2 of the rescue mission, where Imlie and Jugnu are at loggerheads and he is threatening to shoot Adi, with Imlie pointing her gun at him. She gets nervous worrying that her one misstep could endanger Adi. Adi and SK keep motivating her to shoot, assuring her that she is capable of doing anything, being dadda ki beti and from PD. Her wavering continues till SK gives her Sita Maiyya ki kasam, which gives her the resolve to act. While it looked for a second that she is not going to shoot, she lowers the gun to shoot Jugnu in the leg, thus making him leave Adi and fall down. The police collect Jugnu, thus paving the way for Adi & Imlie ka punar milan.
And their punar milan was so beautiful. Them hugging each other, almost as if now they can finally breathe. Them just hanging on to each other, as if ek second ki doori mein dusra ojhal ho jayega. That hug and kiss (+1 for Adi again, what is the current count now someone please tell) was almost poignant. After everything they both had been through, it was almost like a homecoming for both of them, finally dono ke jaan mein jaan aayi.
The T's find out that Adi has been rescued and that he is safe. The Sr T's all gather around Malini, hailing her for all her efforts, while she goes all, aww shucks it was nothing. While the T's are preparing for Adi's swagat (with cake & all, how lucky) Malini informs AC & KC that Adi is safe. This news triggers AC to decide to use the media to publicly announce that all this happened only due to her daughter. Anyway, the media arrives at the T house with AC in tow, to ensure that her daughter gets all the credit of saving Adi. And she would have actually got all the credit, but then Adi arrives in time to play spoilsport.
Adi is brought home by the police, with Imlie & SK, and as usual the media not considering that he is hurt, rushes to get their sound bite. They want to know who saved Adi and how he felt after all this ordeal (who thinks of such stupid questions) Anyway, Adi is thankful for everyone's support and gives credit to the police and ministry. Then he eloquently waxes about another person due to which he is safe & sound today. He explains how that person fought against everything no matter what. Woh insaan jiske liye raasta bhi hum the aur manzil bhi hum the, jiske hone se hum hai - Wowie, that one was so beautiful, that it really gave me the feels of just how much he understands how difficult it was for Imlie to save him, facing oppositions from all around. Anyway, his description has Malini getting all teary eyed, thinking she is going to get all the credit. Just as soon as he stops, she almost takes a step ahead & he pulls Imlie in front of everyone, saying she is the one that saved him, his wife - Imlie Tripathi. Just as AC countered that Malini was the one who called the ministry, the police clarified that ministry never had any intention to do anything to get Adi out. They also atrted waxing about how Imlie saved the day, making AC even more upset.
When Adi announced Imlie name, us waqt Malini ka chehra was like those pageant queens who assume that they have won the crown, but realize that the winner is someone who may look less "beautiful" by the world's standards, but is better all around. That sense of jealousy and anger is starkly visible on their faces, but to show to the world, they have to show that they have taken this loss gracefully😆. (I wish I could insert that Joey gif with the faces he makes when he loses an award on Friends). Anyway, AC had no such compulsions, and went ahead to berate Adi about him & his family using Malini again the same way that he has done for the last 7 years. Everytime we want to forget those saat saal, someone or the other will remind us of those manhoos years.
The media hails Imlie and tells Adi that he would be proud of his wife & his family should be proud to have a bahu like her. Then at that point, all those who predicted PT to flip first, ding ding ding, you won. Man he flipped and how. He was so impressed with this modern day Savitri who saved her Satyavan, that he completely ignored the gusse wale looks that Aparna was giving him to make him shut up. Okay, so right now it looks like 1 down for sure, and another is wavering (BKaka). It looks like the ladies are going to be taking some time to melt and by the precap, that time is going to only get longer.
Anyway, after everyone leaves, Aparna fusses over Adi, trying to clean his wounds. She reminds him about how as a kid whenever he got hurt, she would lock him up at home as she would be in pain seeing him hurt. This just prompted me to think, this woman thinks locking up is the solution to all her problems. I am stunned how does Adi not have claustrophobia already, bechara humara Adi.
Adi tells her that his family has always been his strength and that without his family he could not have come out of this safely. He reminds Aparna that his family never distinguishes between anyone and loves everyone equally. That triggers the bhakti in Aparna, who as usual blames Imlie for taking all the credit, without acknowledging that it was all due to Malini that the rescue mission happened in the first place. Adi tries to tell her that he has thanked Malini but that is not enough according to Aparna. She calls SK a gunda & just basically dismisses Imlie's mehnat as an add on to Malini's primary & tremendous efforts to get Adi home. Man Aparna and her delusions, lagta hai sangat ka bahut gehra asar ho gaya hai.
Anyway, in the precap Adi promts the gods of fate to cause trouble in their khushi, by saying that now things will be fine and no pareshaani will come, which makes me think that PT & BK may have melted. TO that we get AC having poisoned Malini, to relieve her of her pain. That last scene google has prompted me to deduce that this act will make people think that Malini tried to commit suicide again, jiska blame phir se Imlie pe jayega, which explains the BTS pics we got of Malini. God these two cannot get even a few moments of peace before fate or the C's intervenes to test them again. God give them strength to go through all this and us to watch what happens next.
