I guess I’m talking about how I feel 4 episodes in. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t put Shaurya and Ramesh in same category at all now.

Mr. Bhalla is bad because he’s an outright piece of trash, but he’s stuck having to live by society’s standards. The Sabherwals are in the upper echelons of society. They run an educational institution. So the expectation is that they be more progressive. So Sabherwals, especially Shaurya being so adamant about a women’s place in society is more disappointing. I know his thoughts aren’t due to any innate misogyny, but due to his fear of abandonment, but for now he’s an MCP!

I like to hear many views and as long as we can discuss it back and forth like this, it’s sooo fun!!

Lo and behold, the most unlikely people meet!!!!

So, it's sad to see parents of the daughter to come in and apologize for no fault of theirs or even champion for her Rishta... It's just sad.

Shaurya Sabarwal can take a stand, but did not, Shagun should have walked away forever then and there only. It did not ever make sense to look back.

The destiny of the work 'rubbish', so opposite in thoughts yet so similar in nature, two people who just had to meet. Loved how in an earlier episode Shaurya was told that the maker was making the girl for him with full dedication. Well, she did turn out to be a force to reckon with🤣

The scene that always has my heart, the collision❤️ It foreshadowed the entire story. She came into his life and turned his world around. His entire direction changed. She marked him/left a mark on him and he was lost. She made him feel. Oh I love this scene. Always.

Aastha...seeing her son in blood and flesh after 25 years...broke my heart too💔

Anokhi has a very small and suffocating vire of the world build by her thoughts but as any young person she has less value of the consequences of her actions or how they will impact people around her.

I loveeeee their collision!! Like you beautifully described, it’s so symbolic. The hit. The turning each other around. The mark on him. And her choosing the appropriate response of sorry. Him choosing the inappropriate response of “bloody pindu”. It’s so them. He’s always so impulsive and explosive. She’s always more mature in interactions.

I really loved the way how the words allow and permission are used by the leads.. the one and only Shaurya sabherwal uses it with all pride( in case of allowing Shagun to guest lecture) whereas used with utter disgust from the female lead. What a soch ki takkar it is!!

Tha Shaurya Sabherwal we see in these episodes.. now it’s easy to say as we’ve seen the future episodes. In Anokhis words after sindoor marriage..how can a grown up person be so blinded that he can’t feel the other persons pain? Can’t he see how Shagun and her family are trying their best to convince the Sabherwal’s to not break the rishta? How can someone be so rigid in love? It comes to me as the biggest shock that a person in love doesn’t give a second thought before giving up? It still baffles me. I really wanted Ss to ponder upon this after he realised his love for AB but alas..

Their first meeting at the award function..i love it so much. Their takkar in the first meet also symbolises their soch ki takkar. How contrasting their personalities are? Yet they are similar in the way they staunchly believe in the things they believe. Both used rubbish for different reasons for what they believe in.

@bold: I was baffled as well. It’s surprising that Shaurya thinks what he had with Shagun is “love”. He gave up so easily and so fast. He also became so indifferent to her. Within 24 hours, his ego won out. If there’s no ego in love, then how can what ShaSha had be love?

Shagun is still trying thinking Shaurya loves her enough to accept her with her conditions. But Mr. Sabherwal has been conditioned to think that there is nothing above him and his family name. And he doesn't need to compromise on anything.

The way he is still telling Shagun that he thought they were soulmates just because he thought SHE understood him and knew him. Isn't love/marriage a two-way street? Does he even love Shagun? Hope Shagun realized that soon.

The past few episodes have highlighted Anokhi's relationship with Aastha very well. She has also realized now that her Aastha M'am has gone through a lot to get to where she is. It could also be why the thought of marriage repulses her because she knows that her mentor wasn't happy in hers and had to choose her career over it. Her mom and sister are already examples of not being happily married. In contrast, Aastha M'am's strong position(in her view) cements this belief even further.

Aastha finally seeing her son in front of her is a treat to watch.

Of course, them using the word 'rubbish' in the exact opposite situations, the repeated mentions of 'allow' and 'permission', form the crux of their takraar. Everytime these words are used later on, we are made to feel their depth and why they are so significant to the story. Exactly in contrast to the way Shaurya nonchalantly throws them around even until the sindoor shaadi.

Shagun’s intentions have never made sense. Why would she ever agree to Shaurya’s requirements for marriage? She clearly had higher aspirations. Devi isn’t wrong when she said Shagun saw Shaurya as a back up plan. Shaurya’s definition of love is so skewed by his family. I complained about this throughout the show. Most of the Sabherwal elders are in unhappy marriages and the kids don’t seem to have any loyalty to each other. With a family like that I’m not shocked that Shaurya thinks Shagun is his soulmate! 🤮

Could'nt stop myself from laughing when Shaurya said, 'i'd find myself someone who will choose me over her career', aur kya milne wala usko, our fiery Anokhi.

I still wonder ki, Shaurya aur Shagun ke beech me jo tha vo pyar tha???? I so wanted this one to be addressed when he fell head over heels for Anokhi, atleast a realisation from Shaurya's side, keeping my hopes on season 2.

This rewatch is allowing me to really laugh at Shaurya! His naive belief about what kind of girl he wants😆 He’s about to get what he actually needs

The feeling that she had other intentions would have been probed in detail had they had time. Ot was mentioned many times by her that she couldn't afford to go back. If they had the time, this would have been a good track. And Swarda would have done justice to it too. I somehow can't see the original Shagun doing a grey character though.
