I find it so difficult to watch without making connections/parallels! I might have to start making a list of these things to discuss at the right epis. Because the parallels in this show are excellent. There is always a connection somewhere.

And the soch ki takkar starts......

Shagun expecting Shaurya to support her while being humiliated by Sabherwals is almost every married woman. One fact which is noticeable is be it Mr.Bhalla as father or Mr.Kapoor as a father both are trying to plead respective groom to be's family.Girl from midde class or elite class...does not make difference here.

Shaurya's words to Mr Kapoor regarding the choices made by Shagun clearly states he never loved Shagun. If at all he ever felt love he would not be so rigid.Permission to be a guest lecturer in SIAC .....very considerate of you Shaurya...

Sabherwals are representing the typical patriarchial family minus Shaan. They want well educated, well mannered girl for their son but she has to sit at home.Fear of becoming inferior and getting dominated by women if they are independent is the reason for the years of rigidity in the society. My mother always says there is nothing called superiority complex....It is inferiority being masked up coupled with ego because of which wings of girl are cut from the begining.

ANOKHI AASTHA conversation is on point.Women are accustomed and conditioned to be dominated by men and society wants to remain same.Unless women take stand things wont change and gender inequality continues forever.

Shaurya already in a foul mood listens to Anokhi's speech and every word uttered by him is pinching him, taunting him questioning his ideology. He felt being ridiculed by words in recording and says Rubbish.Shaurya -1 Anokhi....yet yo say.

Anokhi listens to Shaurya's conversation and say Rubbish.Shaurya-1,Anokhi-1.

Students talking about Aastha inspite of her marital status is respected a lot even though they hail from a place where a single woman is frowned upon is great.Anokhi never paid attention to this fact even though she is Aasth's fav student.

The epic takkar happens and Shaurya meets Anokhi rather Anokhi dashes herself into Shaurya's life marking her presence.Sorry...Bloody pindu non significant words uttered by them but their hearts, destinies said hello to each other.

Aastha- a mother who left behind her 4 year old kid due to circumstances is now seeing him all grown up into smart sophisticated successful and respectable young man..Her eyes filled with emotions that have been bottled up since 25 years.

The cute boy is now handsome young man and a mother is feeling so proud of him.Stealing glances at him, doubtful whether he recognises her or not ...Deepa mam kudos to you the way you potrayed emotions.Babli and Ramaa worried about Anokhi's absence.

Precap: Son Mother meet,Shakhi meet part 2

Beautiful analysis Deepa. Yes Shaurya never loved Shagun. But he was thinking them to be soul mates... I am surprised. And I am not able to understand Shagun also. Such an intelligent and qualified girl why did she agree to be a housewife. Did she really love Shaurya so much?

There were two great scenes in today's episode. One was the epic takkar between ShaKhi. And the second one was Aastha seeing Shaurya entering the hall. The scene was executed so beautifully and Deepa mam acted so well. You can feel the emotions of Aastha in that scene.

Shagun and her parents think like any other girl s parents.Sabherwals a reputed family and Shaurya a well educated, settled boy any girl s parents would be interested in getting their daughter married in that house. They were unaware of patriachy personified family.Shagun being a modern day practical girl trying her level best to get engaged to Shaurya who is a good catch according to her and her parents.

This is the only ITV show where every character is written in such a way that no body seems completely perfect.Everybody is flawed in their own way and still strive to get what they want.SAAKK has spoiled me for lifetime.Cant watch anything else.

Jo SAAKK na ho toh hum bhi hum nahi

Na chahiye kuch SAAKK se jyaada SAAKK se kam nahin.

What I liked about this is the different reason for the use of this term, builds the basis of the story. The two characters of the two main leads are reinforced by the two situations.

Now another point that I noticed is Anokhi does not have a good picture of marriage.

She has first hand experience from her mother and sister, and Astha has not made matters better by driving the.point that marriage spoils the dreams of many.

Astha may be strong but she is biased and this is influencing Anokhi.

What to say about Shaurya...Using the word permission as if he is granting a favour would never sit well with a woman of substance.

How can Shagun who is aspiring to do her PhD still think of pursuing Shaurya despite the insults is beyond me. Except if maybe she was genuinely in love.

Now BM and BP today showed the first glimpse of their true nature. Hum mahaan hein, and nobody should dare play with us.

The joke of the day, BP going for his 💆‍♂️ 🤣🤣

So I don’t see Aastha’s view as biased but rooted in reality. Ramesh Bhalla’s mentality is the majority opinion in society. It’s one that will stop a girl’s education for marriage. It’s one that continues the traditions of dowry. It’s one that treats a married girl as no longer being part of her maayka. All of these traditions and thoughts do present an unequal partnership.

I don’t understand why Shagun still wants Shaurya either. I know he’s a Sabherwal and apparently the most eligible bachelor, but she can just find herself the second most eligible with less regressive views.

Yes SAAKK is one show where it is not only the leads but also the side characters that are intriguing. It is difficult to watch any other show after watching SAAKK. We have got used to fast paced interesting episodes.

Coming to sabrawals what a ruthless family. The way they insult kapoors. Shagun was looking at shaurya like any girl who wants her love to support. But shaurya was total cold towards all the things. I don't know why kapoors are trying to convince sabrawals, begging before them. I mean their daughter is smart intelligent. If a person has no respect for your daughter, wants her to sacrifice her dreams then leave that person. He is not worth your daughter.

Rubbish common word used by both of them but different ideologies. Yes astha mam is shaurya's mom.

It was so sad to see Shagun look expectantly at Shaurya and him showing no reaction at all. If not for the relationship, at least for their friendship, he could have shown some feelings.

The bloody pindu automatic response to what he saw shows what type of opinion he has of people from small towns...

My only problem with the marriage issue is Anokhi has a colored picture of marriage just like Shaurya has the same negative thoughts about working mothers/married women.

This indifference could be the only way he can hide his innermost turmoil and not having anyone to confide in it is better to build a defense wall around himself. He is seen seeking tht support from BM, but the latter keeps harping about him being a Sabherwal and above everybody. BM has this idea that he is perfect and he does not want to disappoint her by telling her what he needs and misses. He is supposed to have everything best that life can offer.
First spark that will light the fire in Shaurya and awaken him to real life is to begin.

@bold: We just have differing thoughts on this. Anokhi's view on marriage is based on the reality of a patriarchal society that it restricts women's ability to be independent. Shaurya's view is based on that patriarchal society's belief that women can't or shouldn't do whatever they want and wants to restrict women's independence for their own benefit.

I think Shaurya's thoughts are also based on a misunderstanding. When we learn why his mother left, it wasn't picking her career over him, it's more his father not picking his spouse and child over his family.

I must say writers had done great job in writing his character and showing a proper character growth. I think kv also told in an interview he never felt like doing monotonous work. His character had many dimensions and kv portrayed it well. He also told that the casting director while approaching him for the role told him that this role would be one of the best role of his career. Indeed it is 👍

KV did a fantastic job.

Even knowing Shaurya's character arc, right now I despise Shaurya's indifference and his mocking tone. We know he has feelings but his stone faced mask is so annoying. His regressive thought that he can "allow" his wife to work makes me really hate him. He's everything that Ramesh Bhalla is but in a richer and prettier package!

Respect your pov but disagree to the part of shaurya having everything that Ramesh bhalla is. As per my pov Shaurya is not at all worst like Ramesh bhalla. Yes for bp and bm I am using your last line but not for shaurya. Pov may differs 🙂
