Ep 4. MAKERS : Hero delayed, losing grip

If there is one thing I hate about ITV (well there is usually only one or two things I LIKE about ITV but that’s a different story) is that they don’t know how to grip the viewer, they use cheap tactics - precaps that actually have nothing to do with next episode and some horrible cringed scenes in the name sex and love. The former is what happened today and the latter is what is making most people fear how this romance is going to turn out.

Slow burn is what most people are wanting to see, but slow burn doesn’t mean slow down on introducing our hero, if episode 4 itself seems like a filler, god alone knows what they will do with episodes 51?, Every scene in today’s episode pretty much depicted an emotion we already know.
The bhabhi devar love, the fact that devar is a chichora which the family is indulgent/tired of, Meera is apparently someone who can talk to the CEO but can’t tell her dad to back off, again something we knew already.

Maybe I am being impatient, but these guys need to get on already. The most entertaining parts of the episode were Kabir scenes. This boy is a great actor and really brings a smile to the face.

They are trying to set the stage and make it more apparent with family dynamics. I think the hero will make the entry after a day more or mayb next week.....

They are kinda dragging it, I agree.... But it is a balanced episode in terms of emotions.... There is fun, mischief, grief, love ever after, the semi-practical decision..... We just have to wait an ne patient for I guess a week to get adjusted to the show and its pace.

At first u thought amrita is a doc, looking at the precap.... But I guess not.... She is mayb a housewife or smthin else.

Hmm, I understand what you are saying but I feel the pace is fine as of now. Though I can see that most episodes are fillers in a way, I feel like it’s pretty balanced. They are not stretching one scene to be a whole episode long. The writer just wants the viewers to understand the family more. Are they overdoing it? Yes. But it’s not overdone to the point that it’s unbearable.

I am actually liking the calmness of the show minus the OTT scenes they like to add in between. They are not rushing anything in the show, the story is just kind of flowing if that makes sense.

And I agree with you, Kabir’s scenes are very entertaining ❤️

Gayatri - I don’t think Amrita is anything but a pregnant widow, for ITV that’s a profession all by itself re Baba!!! 😵 If she is, then that would be interesting.

dear.zindagi - so so sorry don’t know your name, but I totally am being impatient, Mujhe hero chahiye 🤪but I will take your opinion that yes they are stretching but not making it unbearable, this I agree with you. I think it’s not unbearable because the characterization is pleasing, each and every member of this family is positive with grief being a huge shadow cast on them. That is also something I hope they realize, that grief of losing their loved one should be the only reason for things to go Grey, because otherwise there is no reason for this family to go toxic!!! For e.g. I can see the mom totally against Pritam, I can see Kabir suspecting Pritam and I can see Dadi actually having a soft corner for Pritam.

So you guys are right,🤗 it’s important for setting the characters. But my issue is not boring, my issue is gripping!! Are the makers gripping my interest, I feel they are resorting to people will watch anything till the hero makes his entry.

But yes, I must remember this is ITV

I mean I expected them to give this week to establish the family and extended characters and bring in the ML on Saturday so I wasn't surprised. Although I do dislike SPs love for showing the same precaps for multiple episodes😵

From the description of the show seems like it's not just about Amrita-Pritam but Sakhujas-Pritam so I guess I'll let them spend the week with the Sakhuja family. After all they have so many members😆

hapc - I agree that is a good point you make, it’s Sakhujas-Pritam and not just Amrita Pritam.

in other news I would hate if they ruined Amrita Pritam the fantastic Indian poet for me! I will send a bag of lizards fo the producers home if they do.

Hopefully tomorrow or day after tomorrow they will introduce him.

I think Amrita will go to hospital for her routine check up & She will meet him in the hospital

There is a verse from Amrita Pritam’s poem which kind of suits our Amrita on the show. It saw me through my own tough times long ago. Wanted to share with members here who are hoping for some depth in our show ka story

I can understand your..even I was disappointed with ML not entering yet but like hapc said they are now laying the base for Pritam's entry to the house...so I'm ok. Also I like almost every character in the show for now so guess that also helps.

The only thing that I didn't like was when the mom compared kabir with karan its already hard enough for a child to live up to the expectation of his parents when he has a perfect living elder brother like karan and here his mom wants him to be like karan so that he can fill that void karan left.

I can only imagine the immense pressure kabir must feel.

Liked how amrita asked him to remain the real naughty kabir that he is.❤️

Lol it's only been 4 days! Back when Tere Liye aired, man I waited about 2 months for both the male and female leads to enter. This is nothing in front of that lol. 😆
