It shows how ill prepared he is.. how did he even think that a positive DNA test report will be enough for him to claim Pallavi as his wife? Its laughable that he didnt think about his own death certificate angle which strengthens my belief that he is an imposter. He is faking amnesia so he can get away being clueless about Mandhar's past, his habits and lifestyle OR he was unaware that his family thought he was dead while he was gone.. and actually cremated some body and got a death certificate made. In either case, he is coming across as desperate and impulsive.. Raghav has made his dislike very clear but he is gonna misinterpret Pallavi's sympathy as her weakness and try to get close to her thinking she will oblige out of pity.. Like in the kitchen scene, he found her alone and thought she would be vulnerable to his advances.. that line "khushboo achi aa rahi hai" totally had a double meaning to it.. Pallavi was visibly creeped out and uncomfortable when he was behind her.. trying to make a small talk.
