Hey, you are right. But isn't acting all about being able to portray any character, for the lack of better word 'Lying' and making the audience believe in the character that your are portraying? On the other hand, some actors also believe that to look convincing before the camera, you have to believe in the character and its actions, kind-a putting yourself in the character's shoes and taking his/her point of view.
