Saw this thing to some extent in the bengali version of anupama

i think not just regional, it's just a cliched out concept in the itv world...the only MILs i think is the best would be from sasural genda phool, BBKD (sony show) , etc...

Not only women but male characters too. It's just too extreme masculinity, even in the MLs. Hardly, I know of a character who's character remains consistent. If a FL turns out to be a jerk, let's make the ML a jerk also.

I remember one of my favourite character raman bhalla in yhm was ruined like anything after the leap🤢. The male characters are shown either extremely aggressive and abusive or totally a dumb and stupid creature😡

Though I don't know this serial😆 but as far as I remember the mother in law (actual mother of ram) in balh,in ek hasina thi (sakshi goinka's jethani or devrani whatever you say😃),in yhm (initially she used to react in a wrong way but after ishita's mother's accident when she was standing beside ishita she had a close bond with her and realized her mistakes👍🏼. After that whatever happens she will always stand beside ishita👏. But after 3rd leap this character was also ruined😭)

I never watched the show lol 😂 knowing it was EK basing it off a book & her mast masala adding, i never watched it lol...why i never connected was primarily because of the ML ignoring his daughter like she's some bhayanak thing or whatever...even shagun as a villain was weak IMO...personally, EK shows good pairing but the stories are trash...

But honestly speaking the show was very logical at that time. After the leap the show was destroyed to another level🤢. Well you would have loved shagun as a villain before leap as nobody trusted her😆 and that's the reason half of her plots used to fail🤣

i dunno, shagun never gave me the conviction of a villain, 🤔😆maybe it;s the way the dialogues were delivered or emotions to execute the grey vibes, i never saw the grey-shaded vibes that i was supposed to make out of her character by anita..

She was not a grey shaded character I believe she was totally negative at that time😆. Yes not a typical villain basically she was a dramebaaz arrogant selfish manipulative and a self centered woman😆. Actually her plots to manipulate her children used to get successful but for a short time🤣. And the way raman's mother used to insult her everytime for her drama uff that was amazing🤣. Anyways bahut zyada serial ki bate ho gayi let's talk about something else😆
