Thanks, dear. So far it is fine but I heard the situation in India is terrible so I will pray for everyone to be free from this misery. You also stay safe & healthy, dear.

Hello everyone. Hopefully you all are well and good. Regarding today's episode, I guess it was another good one.

We got to see the prime difference between two queens, one is the current queen of Malwa and another will be the future queen of it. While the experienced current queen is only thinking about her own family and son, the other one who has no training or experience is thinking about the welfare of the people. I guess this is where the line is drawn between a beloved and a good queen and an average queen of the same kingdom.

Today Gautama's insecurities reached the peak, when Malharrao expressed his wish to mould Ahilya like himself. She will become an obstacle in Ahilya's path to become the geatest queen of Malwa.

But I guess we will have to see a few more khanderao less episode. Although just like his relationship with Ahilya we viewers also have a love hate relationship with him, but his absence is a bit disappointing.😔

i;m not sure if gautamabai became an obstacle in real life though, as i feel malharao felt the situation required ahilyabai to take over since there were people who he suspected were either shrewd or incapable of taking charge of the holkar dynasty

We don't know how Gautamabai was in real life. Very little info is there about her. In some places it's said that she was supportive of her bahu.

Regarding Ahilyabai taking over the Holkar dynasty. Although it's true that Ahilyabai primarily got the the throne because of the premature death of Khanderao, but it's also true that she became such a popular queen because she was a very efficient ruler. Even before the death of Khanderao, malharrao would give responsibilities of the Kingdom to ahilya, when he went for some expedition, instead of his son Khanderao.

In local folklore it's said that Ahilya brought massive change to her husband's wayward nature.

Regarding shrewd people, yes it was maybe true that malharrao was surrounded by shrewd people, but he also had people who wholeheartedly supported him. People like Tukoji. So I guess Malharrao decided to give ahilya ample power because of her capabilities, not because there was noone else in the palace to handle state affairs instead of her.

I read somewhere that in a letter malharrao had written to Ahilyabai that he had full faith on her capabilities. And she was fully capable of handling the state affairs.

Wow, if Gautamabai was a supportive mother-in-law to Ahilya, the show's doing a massive disservice to her legacy. Too bad we don't have enough content on Ahilyabai's life translated in Hindi/English. It would be so much better if there was something more.
