Just thought that i would dissect the depth of the character "Rishi", son, husband and human being that is being played with finesse by Andy as we in the Grahasti forum like to address him.
When Rishi was introduced into the serial as a young man with character, he came across as being too nice and us cynics immediately branded him as going to turn out to be negative. But, as the story progressed we saw him as a mature man who doesnt wear blinkers. He genuinely liked Simar for her simplicity and honesty eventhough she appears to be a very ordinary looker, submissive, obedient, introverted and shy. He truly wanted her to walk side by side with him as his partner for life. Thats saying a lot for a handsome, highly educated and erudite personality that he plays in the serial.
Rishi the son: what can i say? He does wear blinkers like all of us do for the people we love. He respects, obeys and stands by his mum at times of need. This part of his character is yet to unfold as he will see Veera falling from the pedastal. Will a son's duty prevail or will Rishi go against his mother?
It will be entertaining and enlightening to see the war of the titans! Son against mother, unwilling to believe, yet forced by circumstantial evidence to do so. Husband and wife- to be or not to be is the question. Will Rishi give his wife of two days the benefit of doubt against his mother of over 25+ years?
Although Rishi has been in the background all the while, Anand Suryavanshi the actor has played the role of Rishi with such finesse that i think experience has polished his charisma. Yet, we are spoilt for drama and would like to see him emerge from the staid personality that he is protraying.
Good luck Andy! you are giving Grahasti its anchor after Kiran Kumar's exit.
