In my mind it's the 'Thank you' and not 'it's ok' that chime
Feels great to talk to you like it's been a routine for years
Glad that I could paint you a smile this time and not tears
Never believed when they said, ''Regrets stay forever''
Crushing my ego down, you took it as your next endeavour
The loser I have always been, I let you win
Pushed you aside and later drowned in pool of guilt
Words lose their value when actions yell the opposite
Unwanted I made myself, after being your favorite
I never knew what I lost until it came to an end
Hard lessons were learnt teaching me how to bend.
But today feels like the glorious sunrise after a gloomy day
The most played on my playlist, now has got nothing to say
Everything feels like earlier; beautiful and serene
Repentance has faded out and I am at last clean!
