Hey!! I just found out Punjab won, and thought I’d browse the forum. Honestly I am no one to comment/judge since I barely watched 4-5 episodes, but did Punjab not have good singers? I’m sorry but I don’t know most of these singers!!

I was blown away by Rupali Jaggas face off with Ankush (Ramta Jogi), and the few times I’ve watched Neha she’s been phenomenal.

I have no doubt that reality shows are rigged, who do you think was a deserving winner?

Each team had its good or bad, but Punjab was the weakest, given that both its captains were autotuned singers. Rupali's face off was good, but of all the episodes I saw, Punjab did not deserve the trophy at all.

Mumbai was the next weakest, Shilpa, Purva and Kailash Kher weren't up to the mark. Kailash's voice was way too shrieky.

Gujarat had Javed Ali, Hemant Brijwasi, Bhoomi Trivedi as super strengths. This was one of the strongest team in the show.

Bengal had Rituraj, Akriti and Shaan was their positives.

UP Dabanggs unfortunately did not have a particular identity, barring Salman.

Delhi had Neha, Ankush and Priyanshi. And honestly, these three were enough to take out the other teams.

I'll tell you when I realised the show was rigged, it was Delhi vs Mumbai. Performance wise, Delhi won every round. In fact in one of the rounds, the entire Mumbai team sang Deva Shree Ganesha...then Neha came alone and did this Beyonce like performance on Kaisa Jaadu Daala Re. In the same episode, Ankush and Priyanshi sang Chori Kiya Re Jiya, which went viral on the internet. Still Mumbai won that round, based on votes. 🤓

The finals should have honestly been between Delhi and Gujarat, with Bengal on third.

You should go and check how terribly Punjab performed most of the times, you can literally see Mika winging it, he was never serious and sincere. Check out his duet with Shaan and the Govinda mashup he did...that will literally remind you of shower singing. Still, they won.

Wow!! It’s amazing how obvious they make the fact that the show is rigged. I’m a little surprised Delhi didn’t make it to the finals (for some reason I thought Neha’s team reached the finals).
When you see such bias, you really lose interest in such shows. Was voting entirely in the hands of the audience?

Don't worry about asking questions, I love answering them 😆

Delhi was surprisingly the first to get eliminated. 🤢

I did lose interest in the show and did not watch it as diligently as I did in the first few weeks because of all the biases, with the exception of Delhi's performances. Even yesterday, Priyanshi and Ankush were so good in their duet. ❤️

They did some khaili pulao with scores for a few weeks and votes were there. But I think the winning team did some under-the-table action, if ukwim.

I did enjoy the first two episodes I watched, but after that it just seemed like the mentors (if that’s what they are called on the show) put me off. I don’t know why. I followed the shows Instagram profile and would watch snippets of Neha’s performance. I probably live under a rock or something because I didn’t even know half the captains!! Maybe that’s why I just didn’t connect.
I’m glad I didn’t, otherwise I’d be fuming at an obvious bias!!
really miss the old Sa Re Ga Ma that Sonu Nigam used to host. Pure singing, no bias.

Another problem was that they were adding new faces every few weeks. A lot of the general audience does not recognise people from the music industry. Ofc regular faces like Shaan, Kailash Kher, Javed Ali etc are exceptions but its required to know the participants by face in order to connect with them.

Its not your fault, most captains did not have that kind of volume of work. Like if 90s and early 2000s singers/composers were mentors you would be able to connect to them. Even if you hadn't seen their faces, you know their songs. Makes hell of a difference.

Neha was the surprise package, no one expected her level of performances and confidence. I knew she was special, because I used to listen to VIVA back in the day 😆 But she came across as a surprise for sure.

Things were much better previously, I agree with you. Even though IPML did not follow the same format as SRGMP, at least there should have not been such biases.
