Ofc regular faces like Shaan, Kailash Kher, Javed Ali etc are exceptions but its required to know the participants by face in order to connect with them.

Its not your fault, most captains did not have that kind of volume of work. Like if 90s and early 2000s singers/composers were mentors you would be able to connect to them. Even if you hadn't seen their faces, you know their songs. Makes hell of a difference.

Neha was the surprise package, no one expected her level of performances and confidence. I knew she was special, because I used to listen to VIVA back in the day 😆 But she came across as a surprise for sure.

Things were much better previously, I agree with you. Even though IPML did not follow the same format as SRGMP, at least there should have not been such biases.

I remember Viva! I watched from the auditions, and followed them because one of the members was my senior in college (Mahua).

I agree with pretty much everything you said, @Ashley.Tisdale. I stopped following Indian Idol (lost interest) and IPML (since it when on COVID break), plus I was super busy with school. But I did catch a few bits on social media.

Gujarat, Delhi, and Bengal were my favorite teams! The fact that Punjab and Mumbai got into the finale but not Delhi, was beyond me. I see that you mentioned Ankush and Priyanshi's duet in the finale. I saw a clip of it on Instagram and sought out the whole performance online. That's the only part of the finale I actually saw. I loved it!!! One of my favorite songs and both of them killed it.

I was still appreciative that at least Bengal and Gujarat made it to the finale. Bengal was really underrated throughout the series. I'm glad they finally got their due. But Punjab winning over either of them??? Utterly proposterous.

Girl, Ankush and Priyanshi's duet was the only reason I saw the finale. In fact when it got over I switched to Idol, even my family knew why 🤣

He's just brilliant. Not just a great singer but so effing good looking ❤️

The finals should have been between Gujarat, Bengal and Delhi. This would make so much more sense

But koi nahi, I watched it for Ankush, I'll wait for his next project 😆
