Idk why everyone is acting as if Mandaar was just presumed dead and not verified as dead just because Pallavi used to go to the police station. I mean, there was a body. A postmortem was done, the family cremated him- that's not 'presumed', that's verified. She wasn't going to the police station to find out if he is dead, she wanted to know the circumstances of his death.

The legal complications here would be so much more interesting than 'which wedding is legal'- honestly, that would be the very last of his concerns. But I guess that's what will be focused on, and that means actual law has been tossed straight out of the window, so speculating is quite pointless, They'll invent whatever legal framework needs to be invented to move the story.

I've been trying to say this since Ashok was cast, but I've given up now.

Talking about south movie industry, there are some decent movies. I have watched 1-2 Malayalam movies recently, and I liked them. I have heard from a friend of mine who’s more into Malayalam movies that some of them are really good. I even watched this telugu short film sai starred in - ‘strangers’ and liked it as well. I like the fact that these movies are meaningful, close to real life and leads are not bragging about unnecessary stuff. Plus I have a certain appreciation for how down to earth South Indians can be, so finding myself a bit gravitated towards the movies and the culture lately, wanting to know it better.

Don't think I am boasting. The thing is that among South industry Malayalam movies are the best one. They have really developed with time. Most of the recent movies were about contents than usual glamour and action movies. Directors are now exploring their storylines in many way.

In Tamil industry also, there are some really good movie. They have kinda stopped sexualising women and glorifying ML in recent times. But actions are still OTT in many places

As I have already told I can't tell apart Telugu and Kannada movies so I am considering both as one thing rn. There are some relatively good movies comparing to Bollywood.

I agree with that South movies are close to real life comparing to Bollywood. As a audience, we have started to appreciate movies with deep meaning resulting in many such good movies.

Yep, even with medical proofs, the legal process can take decades- I remember, one person, even after having been proven to be alive, lost the case for a reversal of the death certificate since the state/country he belonged to did not have a process to actually nullify a death certificate.

Please consider Marathi movies too. They are class apart. You would get one at least one masterpiece in every genre.

Only catch is you have to watch with subtitles since they aren't dubbed. If anyone wants recommendations, I can give.

Heard the same about Malayalam movies. Amna, are you from Kerala?

I am so glad at least one entertainment industry in our country is growing. ❤️
