It’s anyday better than having two wives at a same time.

Monogamy as in married to one person - Polygamy is illegal in India so for it but don't plan on getting married

Monogamy as in one partner at a point - It depends on the partner so neither for it nor against it

Monogamy as in one partner for life - This is scary

One partner at a time? But of course!

One partner for a lifetime? Depends from person to person.

Once you find that special person stay with them and stay faithful. But until then date who you want to test things out. I wouldn’t date multiple people at once. If someone does than that’s their thing to do.


So be with a person and stay faithful. If you wanna be with someone else than breakup with the 1st person clearly and concisely so there’s no confusion or games.

I was surprised how well you explained until I got to the bold part. 😆

Great it is the right thing to do because even though the religion allow more than 1 spouse, the holy book also mentions that He knows you wont be able to treat your wives equally so be careful.

Having multiple wives is allowed but for the right purpose, right reason or right intention, dont do it for having a more younger or beautiful wife.

"And if you fear that you will not deal justly with the orphan girls, then marry those that please you of [other] women, two or three or four. But if you fear that you will not be just, then [marry only] one or those your right hand possesses. That is more suitable that you may not incline [to injustice]." - Quran 4 : 3

So few things, (1) verse revealed after war (2) verse mention the word "yateem" in arabic which means you have lost a father due to war not both parents as that what orphans means in english. (3) most people leave out the bold part and misquote it from the word "marry" (4) this is talking in regards to safeguarding the orphans right, you are allowed to marry the mother of the orphans or anyone related to them but even then only up to 4 are allowed and have to deal with them justly a well.
