I really don’t think that Gaura have it in them to understand the concept of yearning or burning for love. For them, the sense of comfort that marriage brought to their equation, and their support for each other with their gradual progress is love. Dev, on the contrary, has taken the journey of falling voluntarily in love with its highs and lows with Rishitha. One has to operate from the space of familiarity to understand what could be going on with the other person.
No wonder he could catch up! Also, Dev was the third angle to their story always!

If you remember Gautam was ready to let Dev marry Ravi, and had commented that eventually they will fall in love. For Gaura falling in love is a journey, for Dev it was and escape from his reality. For Shive, it’s their entire universe.

True, Gaura don't seem to have experienced any of the extreme emotions that accompanies love. But they know Shiva, and even Raavi as individuals better. That's why I was thinking that they would at least notice the weird dynamic between Shivi.

As for Dev, I meant that I don't see him as the most perceptive person who would 'get' another person. In some ways, he seems a bit too self-absorbed...but tbh, I still don't completely understand his character...so I try to avoid talking about him.

I guess since Dev's had a front row seat to Shivi interactions, he's seen a facet of their relationship that no one else has. I think I'll just be glad that someone acknowledged that Dev was a side character 😆
