It was the most popular show on colors tv so I didn't need to subscribe to watch the show (I wouldn't have been able to anyway for the all the channel apps). I liked it especially the characters of Tejo and Jasmine. I thought both had lots of potential even though I thought the whole Canada obsession of Jasmine was a bit too much.

Still both sisters could grow as characters. I never warmed up to Fateh. I mean the guy thought stalking someone was the "ibbadat" love. 🤪 He was a bad stalker also who learnt about his obsession's sister after years. This was just a tamer and cleaner version of the guy from You. 😆

In the end, Tejo's character transitioning to a wise psychologist who is actually believing that Fateh can move on in like 3 weeks when he was obsessed for years is unbelievable.

Plus the lack of screenspace given to most characters and lack of character arc is also disappointing. Too much of cringey Jasmine obsession and her sniffing clothes, the star crossed lovers sad and tragic end and dreams 🤪 are a turn off.

Some characters are useless and annoying. They do not contribute to anything. The Sandhus are dumb and irritating. There is this lack of charm in the show which I used to find it in Tejo.

I'm also on the verge of giving up completely unless we get a Tejo centric track with her moving on.

You literally stole the words from my mouth. I have never hated Jasmine, even now. Her bubbly character with Tejo's supposedly "maturity" went well together but they ruined Jasmine's character by making her a villain in Fatejo's story. If they had just continued to keep her on Canada's obsession track with Fatejo's moving on hurting her ego fueling her obsession for Canada and finding a better guy would have been better.

I joined the show mainly because of the forum and am staying for the same reason. I really liked the Fatejo scenes people described and that one scene where they said that after the marriage kaand Jasmine called out to Tejo.

Coming to the characters I believe Tejo is no different from a regular ITV FL. Yes, she was strict with Fateh and had a strong personality but most ITV FLs nowadays are smart outside the house and then become blind cows at home. I understand we are nicer to people at home, but these FLs let their abusive families walk over them. I also get that nice people aren't any less interesting than awful ones but ITV has too many of these nice women.(Note:Women only, men come in shades and usually have issues)Then her Punjab dream was interesting but I didn't have much faith on it because the real test about showing a FL following her dreams is post marriage or 100 episodes.(70% will only solve family issues after that, at least Tejo goes to college here) This was also why I knew Fatejo would be endgame. She does have more common sense the regular FL though. I really liked Fatejo and the friendship they shared before the marriage and was waiting for their love story. She does have more common sense the regular FL though. .But then they made Tejo fall in love and lose the sensible trait that I really liked about her.

The character that could have been interesting was Jasmine, in my opinion. But that was on another thread.

For me Fatejo and Tejo-Jasmine bond was the USP of the show, I'd be more biased towards Tejo-Jasmine because ITV has enough love stories and sibling bonds aren't given as much focus. But now nothing remains, neither these relationships nor individual characters. The only characters which are smart and make sense are Mami and Mahi and we don't see them enough. Abhiraaj, Senior Virks, Khushveer are also decent but I guess they get even less screen space.

@bold exactly. You literally put my feelings into those words. That's why I always felt Tejo's character, even Jasmine's character had a lot more potential to grow, in fact Jasmine more than Tejo since she had the most potential and reason for growth. But they literally just threw it all in the dustbin it seems.

I was never in love with Tejo per say but her one aspect that was very ambitious in nature and yet had a dream of successful personal life which is generally different from what the majority ITV shows have. either the girl is aiming to be a model and too ambitious and self-centered that people start thinking that ambition is not something a woman should have or they are shown to have a dream but quite far away from it and then post marriage like you said house problems require their knowledge that they have no knowledge to utilize for fulfilling their dreams. But Tejo's character here was different. One highlight was that Fatejo was never romanticized before marriage. No attraction scenes. Only the comfy friendship they shared. I was completely fine with JasFa marriage and Fatejo friendship as well. Would have loved that track too. Another difference in her character was that she was very close to her dream, halfway through actually. She's living a part of her dream: her job being her passion. PhD was again another half part which was okay some destination she would strive to reach. But now all of these things are lost. Like you said that sensible part of Tejo is nowhere to be seen. which is really sad. Then comparatively I felt Fateh's character is more consistent.

To be honest, all shows start out like that on ITV. They vow to be different, with a better storyline and characters that impress. But once it builds a steady audience it becomes a slave to TRPs and completely slaughters its characters 🤔

I really had high hopes from Udariyaan since I started watching ITV shows after a gap of five years but what did I get in return? Another typical drama gift wrapped as something new.

Exactly!

I watch starting 50-100 episodes the max and quit ....

by 100 episodes either they change story line drastically to please trp audience and become a trash.... or they have to shut the shop!!!!!!!!!!!

Lol we have to be cautious nowadays. Shows can be judged and invested in, only after watching at least 100 episodes 😆

Maybe we could have an agency where we match the audience' personality and recommend the shows, and the number of episodes they could watch safely😝😝 like a banking investment firm, this would be ITV Investment Firm😂

An agency we never knew we needed desperately 😆

But given the criteria, we'd never ever be suggested Indian dramas and the trps would fall to an all-time low 🤗

No no, Indian Dramas will be suggested, but based on their personalities a range of episodes would be recommended. So they would be watching a track where they will be safeguarding their emotions. A premium membership will give additional benefits of recommendation for most suitable fanfictions and picture galleries.
