At least Alka Ji has the guts to appreciate someone openly..and to some extent, Kumar Sanu told on that episode that he has given the opportunity to Arunita to sing for a Bengali film as a playback singer.

Other than that no one openly appreciated any contestant except Chitra Ji for Sreersha.

Even Lataji didn't appreciate Arunita openly on SM or any other interview.

Yes, that is why I said they avoided those appreciation parts tactically. That time Arunita was sidelined. After Alka Ji's and Subhash Ghai's Episode, they started promoting Arunita slowly and it is obvious that they are bound to for her singing.
