Well, she believes Sunny is her only true well wisher around who can understand her position best at this point because Im guessing he was with her that night. She doesnt trust anyone else, obviously not Pallavi, now she doesnt trust Amma and she will pick Sunny over Raghav anyday... I have no idea what they are planning with her character. Maybe breaking up with Sunny and sincerely apologising to everyone could somewhat salvage her situation..

I feel the best thing to do with Keerti's character would be to have Amma give the same treatment to her as she did to Raghav earlier. Given the high moral ground that Jaya has I feel that might happen. Then Keerti being in Raghav's shoes will understand what Raghav went through all these years. Only then she can truly understand what Raghav, Pallavi and Amma offer - a family who loves you. I really want Keerti to live the life that Raghav had for some time. She did not hesitate to curse her own brother and his happiness when she felt Sunny left her. She needs some hard awakening to realize what she had before she destroyed.

I think, one thing he'd have done differently had he known the person had died is probably putting in more effort to find the identity and the family, and support the family indirectly. Kirti, I believe, he'd have protected even more- because the severity of the crime would have been that much higher.

Yes maybe.. but that is still a maybe though I am inclined to believe that he would've tried to compensate in his own way.. but what if Mandhar belonged to a rich family.. just saying..anyway what is absolutely certain though is that he would've protected Keerthi even then.. and like you said much more ardently..

Yes, it's a maybe, I was just guessing what, if anything, he would have done differently. Protecting Kirti, absolutely wouldn't have changed. But I don't think he'd have dropped it and moved on if he knew the person died. Not necessarily financial help, but definitely would have tried to see if there's any support the family needed and could be provided surreptitiously.

For instance- I can imagine that if he found out about Mandaar's death, he'd have pulled some strings to ensure DSE remains profitable, Nikhil may have received some kind of academic scholarship, etc those things.

In no universe would he have turned Kirti in, or allowed her to be turned it. He couldn't have been clearer about it- I can't let my sister be in jail, as he said today.

@bold - I would love to see that.. I want Amma to sit her down and make her understand how wrong she has been, not only in doing what she viz a viz the accident, but also the way she has been behaving with Pallavi.. Keerthi absolutely needs to feel the pain Raghav has gone through all these years.. she didn't seem to care much about her brother turning himself in for her.. as if he was obliged to do so.. This is the brother she cursed, the one she chastised all these years, could never bring herself to forgive.. Keerthi needs to be held accountable big time.. I do NOT want Sunny to go to jail while Keerthi is let off the hook with hugs and consolations...

Yes sure, if he had known Mandhar was a Deshmukh, he wouldn't have been a complete ass to Pallavi either Lol Its very much possible that he would've helped DSE.. maybe Nikhil too.. We know he is a man with a conscience.. but it's also true that he would've compromised on his principles for Keerthi, like he did now..

Now that the topic is up, I've been containing this rant all day, I want to let it out now. I know people are expecting that Kirti will be redeemed at the end of this plot, and I know @bold will likely happen, but I really don't know how they'll convince us to accept that?? This isn't bias against her speaking, I think I've been vocal enough about how much I loved her for it to be clear that I have no bias against her.

I just...I can't imagine anything that justifies her actions? Yes, obviously, a lot is missing from the night of the accident- how did she reach Hyderabad, for instance, and why they didn't at least call an ambulance, maybe she was in some kind of trouble herself (clearly something shady was going on that night, we still don't know what Mandaar was even up to), okay fine, let me give her that. Darr mein galtiyaan ho jaati hain, though I hate her calling it a small mistake, for argument's sake, let's say it's all no big deal.

But does that justify the absolute venom she's spewing at Pallavi right now? Ab kis baat ka itna darr? Pata hai na bhai bacha lega, so I can't attribute her attitude to fear. Aaj bhi jab Sunny ke saath ro rahi thi- how does she think Amma will turn her in without any proof?? Raghav has destroyed and will continue to destroy any evidence. Phir bhi, robbing from her own mother? I just don't see how they'll absolve her of everything she's done and has been doing.

Do I like what direction the show has taken with her character? Absolutely not. But do I think there's still hope for her? Nope.
