I finally understood what true love meant...love meant that you care for another person's happiness more than your own, no matter how painful the choices you face might be.
Nicholas Sparks
"Tujhse shaadi karke teri zindagi barbaad kardi hai maine"
"Tu jaa yahan se..... aaj se tera mera rishta.... tera mera rishta...." he couldn't complete the sentence, and the reason was not merely his drowsiness because of being drunk... it was just too painful to say the one word "khatam". His is a commitment, a promise for a lifetime, a relationship he wants to share till his last breath, ending it is something he can't even think of in the best of his senses as well.. forget about saying it in the drunk state.
But he is ready to do it, willing to let her go, because her happiness is of prime importance. He thinks that being with him will ruin her life.. so he finds it best that she's freed from the "unwanted relationship".
He's ready to endear every pain, the biggest pain of losing her, staying away from her (bhasm ho jaunga) just to see her happy. But is it really what makes her happy?
