They usually make one or 2 episodes out of the hometown visits. Sony staff accompanied them and they shot some special stuff that has not been made public as yet.
while the contestants prepare for the grand finale (at which usually the top 12 or top 15 usually perform) they will give them time to practice by airing the hometown visit stuff for a weekend.

I find these episodes boring and usually skip that weekend episodes but I might watch it this time as I would like to see it 😬

Yes. But I think they put wrong expectations when top 7 were sent for the visit.. what will happen to Ashish's footage?

I saw Sony’s IG post that they have chosen the winner of the Indian idol my limitless talent contest and it is Anuraag Deka and he will be part of a music video with the GTE of II12 - PD, Aru, Nihal, SMP, Sayli and Danish.

So it is this MV that they have been practicing with the choreographers.

PS: And also Hetvi Limbad - the other chosen one.

Just penning my thoughts about Asha Tai's observations, during the course of the last week performances

First when she said that she outperformed Rafi sahab in "Aaja aaja main hoon pyaar tera"!

Second when she said, Rafi sahab was upset with her "exceptional" harkats in "Abhi na jao chod kar", in the line ... "ke dil abhi nahin bhara"

I found it strange and self patronizing!

Most of the people identify these two songs with Rafi sahab's genius rather than Asha ji's.

Wonder what made her say so, particularly when the other person is deceased long ago, and was unarguably the most accomplished singer, yet the most humble, one in this era

Am just finding a correlation between n memory n experience with elderly folks. She is 87 years old. They remember small details of the past younger experiences and sometimes add some exaggerations. They need some feel good factor as they face the reality of old age. I don’t believe it’s intentional but they tend to expound on some accomplishments of their younger days. Seen it in many elderly folks.

Yes. They tend to remember their colleagues and near and dear in terms of these specific instances.

Whatever said, there is no denying the fact that Ashaji by herself is a legend with so many accomplishments.. and it is good for participants to take singing lessons from what they say.. than look at other nitty gritties...

They are both too good that it becomes difficult for me to take sides. Nor do I want to.
