Makes sense Aps. But I am not disappointed with Imlie's response to the T family. This was expected of her. She had faced worse and she is still ready to face even worse for others. Afterall she is crafted as a sefless person. Agreed.
What I am wondering is that how did the Ts turn this way? There should be some base to such turn of events. These accusations, the gestures they are puting forth today were never anticipated. We knew they will be crazy mad at her for hiding the truth but we also rooted for them for the fact that we knew they were not hypocrites and they would eventually accept Imlie.
The way these taunts are put forward, even if the writers go with a redemption, they are never deserving forgiveness from Imlie. They are proving time and again that they had always been classists under their skin. Totally unexpected! If they are genuine people then writers just butchered those characters!
While I agree with everything you said LL, I want to put just one point. Many people are internally classist, but just do not go around showing it, because they themselves are not aware of this bias they have. When educated people who will otherwise treat someone from a poor family very well, they will take care of them, show them sympathy, may even go to the extent to help them out financially. But ask them if you would be fine to allow your daughter or son to marry that person, There will be a zhijak even today. No matter how forward looking our society thinks we are, it is always easier to do anything for anyone, as long as it is not in my house. The day it comes to my house, I will show my true colors, because it directly affects me. This mentality of naukrani, naajayaz, lower class, is very prevalent in today's society. I am hoping that the makers are using this opportunity to tackle these mentalities, by using the T's as an example.
Also the T's as an example made better sense, because we will be invested in their journey to change their mindset. Kisi aur ki journey mein humein interest to nahi hoga (Not the C's for sure), so that is why I feel these kind of gestures and dialogues are being given to them, IMO
