Adi saw her beating herself up and when he sat down, he noticed that she was hurting bad, still upset over the previous day's events. his tone changed when he asked her what is wrong? Imlie shared her thoughts on truth, being spoken in Eng vs the vernacular... this was a good scene. What was missing was how/when did Imlie get the MS from? When did Adi tie that? Did Imlie go to college or was it just random .. these little things bother me..
Adi has always been selfish when it came to his needs.. even in PD 2, he was hounding Imlie to return, without stating his intentions.... the man will go to any lengths to keep her at his side. Imlie leaving Adi for PD right now is not a good idea as they have many issues to sort with his family.
As for mahaanta, she tried to do good but ended up with egg on her face.. she just revealed her true face to the T's and had no shame or qualms in admitting that she is happy with another man. Still calls this family as maa and baba.. It is the Tripathis who have totally LOST IT.. I did not rant on this in the main thread...
M has always been an elitist and came out in the wide open today. Sad that Adi was not there to witness the same.
Also she said that she will never return as bahu in this houshold but she will return STILL ? oh my poor heart can't take it at all.
Now you get why I was soo mad at the missing continuity. I am just tired of them going all out for stuff that is not required and losing these little scenes which give us an insight into the characters and the story.
Adi has always been very selfish, but somewhere I feel that is good, coz Imlie in her selflessness tends to go overboard to the point of self harm. Not in the suicidal way, but in the sense that she will push herself to the point that woh kudka nuksaan karne ko taiyyar ho jayegi, if it means that the people around her are happy. That is why his selfishness balances that out, which is why I sometimes he does it purposefully, to keep reminding her to think of them first, rather than always think of khushi of others at her own expense.
The Tripathis had lost it last week itself. This is their last ditch of an attempt to get back their son & old status quo. They do not want to accept what has been shown to them - That their son can be happier with a 19yr old girl from a village over an older, rich, sophisticated and "mature" girl coming from a "high status" family. Most families are like this only. When it comes to behaving with anyone around them, they will be nice, kind even to the extent of considering them family. But the minute the time comes to actually consider that person family, unless they match or better the status of their own family, they will reject that partner, no matter how perfect that person might be. Yahaan pe bhi yahi ho raha hai.
Malini will keep returning, mark my words. And we will still have to tolerate this mandir building of hers till the end of time.
