Heyaa people!!
Just realised that soo much happened since morning from being Angry to feeling giddy over the hot BTS, it was overwhelming.
This one is a really short work of mine that i wrote on a completely different couple so it is an AU, nowhere related to the actual storyline of MHRW.
DISCLAIMER: I was 15 when i wrote this so if it's crappy then i apologize in advance.
OS : GIFT OF LOVE
Arrange marriage is just a compromise that's what people think about it in life right? It's right different people have different views about it but what if a daal kind of arrange marriage has a little spicy tadka to it. I mean as the wise Bunny/ Kabir Thappar from YJHD once said that you can't have daal chawal for 50 saal till you die.
Pallavi Sawant, sorry Pallavi Rao not a Sawant anymore, a girl changes her surname after her marriage and adapts all its colors. Pallavi a shy girl in school ; a rocking girl in college and now a housewife who got married at an age of 24 dreamt of a life with a prince. A prince just like her father. Apparently father a figure who stands up for you when no one else does. It's for him she got married to this hot hunk business man Raghav Rao.
Though they hadn't known each other before their wedding but now were friends in this 6 months of marriage and guess moving a little ahead on the road of love.
Pallavi as per her daily routine cooked lunch for her dear husband who wants her to be at his office so that they could eat together, a habit they both adored, went inside her room to get ready. Well some of her bags which her father had sent on her insistance with her old clothes laid at one corner and hence she decided to wear something from it.
Fidgeting with all the clothes she finally found the one ; a beautiful anarkali suit that she was totally obsessed with during college. After she had her bath she did a little touch up and looked around for a perfect match of bangles and earrings, opening her cupboard she found her mother's earrings ; her prized posession one but a single one, the other pair was lost sometime during her brother's wedding ceremony.
Flashback
The whole house was lit up beautifully as the baraat came at the Rana family's door for their daughter's auspicious wedding. The rituals were done and now the groom sat at the mandap waiting for his beautiful bride. A girl of age 15 ran down to the groom whispering in his ear.
"Look dada i saved your shoes." she tried being discreet about it.
"Pallu, my little one it's a ritual. Let them have it." her brother stroked her hair lovingly.
"Umhum it's yours. How can i let them steal these." she nodded a head in a no.
"Okay my princess. Whatever suits you." he laughed at her pouty face.
"Look my vahini is here. I'll go and save your shoes okay." she spoke in excitement eyeing her vahini walking down the aisle.
Pallavi ran picking up the shoe box up the stairs to hide it somewhere when she collided with someone. Ooh that's her neighbour Raghav by the way ; always that flirty but a little studious guy.
"Hey!" she heard him calling out to her but she ignored him running up the stairs.
Flashback over
That's the last time she saw him and her earring. But 9 years down the lane she found him at her doorstep with his parents asking her hand for marriage, though it came out as a shock for her but on her father's insistance she agreed for it.
Closing the cupboard she walked ahead when her dupatta got stuck at the door opening the cupboard once again. She pulled it out but soon her gaze fell on a golden box, a box Raghav never allowed her to open. But please blame her curiousity that this time she couldn't control herself and opened it. There she sat on her bed as she found her earring safely kept in their and her eyes brimmed with tears reading a note.
I knew one day you'll open it and this is the day you'll know all about it. You were my first ever crush, my neighbour and when that day your earring fell down while running at your brother's wedding i came back to give it to you when i heard you talking to your friend that one day you'll marry a guy who'll come at your doorstep when he'll be successful in his life to take you away with him for an eternity. That day maybe i was a kid and wasn't aware of what love was but i promised myself that i'll be the one for you. And so there i was standing at your doorstep after being the top bussinessman on 7th of feb to marry you with all my rights.
So that now you have found it, wear it. It's your property, it's just that i had kept it safe for a day you'll accept and love me.

She smiled at this loving thought of their actual story that she wasn't aware of as she quickly wore her possession and rode down to his office to say that she do love him and will always do.
At 15, lost it.
At 25 found it in my husband's wardrobe.
Solving the mystery of the missing earring it all fell into place.
