She never wanted to be second women. Why she gave 7 years to Aditya before marry him. Now she struck between her love and reality. She is showing courage. She let Aditya go. Let go someone and moving on is two different thing. kunal question made her think is she actually ready to move on . Yes she let Aditya go but is she ready to date someone, is she ready to think about someone. That will be big move for her. She have to let her 7 years go, her love life, dreams n every inch of her memory where she thought her life with Aditya. Where she worshipped the path Aditya walks on. So many people let go their loved one's and live there life with the time they spent with them. Kunal asking her is she ready to look for a man beyond Aditya. As long as Malini lets AC manipulate her based on AC’s own bitterness about her marriage to Dev Malini is not going to or can move forward.

Adi also thought he loved Malini until his time in PD opened his eyes to his real feelings that evolved over time for Imli. He couldn’t see his future without Imli in it.
