Its very true what you said, he is unfazed by her beauty or charm. It's only Bondita and her memories that stir him up, make that facade of his go away even though for a few moments. The depth of bond he shared with Bondita was always on a completely different level compared to what he felt for Mano or Mini. His protectiveness for her, his pride when she did her tarks, his constant fight to get her the life she deserves everything was very different. He was never that emotionally attached to any of his family members also. Before Bondita came he was like this only, always lived in his own world of books not bothering about what others were doing. It was Bondita who brought him out of his shell. She was the only one he opened up to, she was the one he always expected to stand by him, he usually got upset when Bondita didn't agree with humor sided with others. Baki koi sath rahe na rahe he never cared much

(Though I would say Mano track was a huge mistake. Agar voh ek track nahi hota na, I would have a completely different level of respect for Anirudh. If not for that one manhoos track, his devotion towards Bondita would have been unquestionable. It not only butchered Anirudh but also kind of tainted Rudhita's bond. Though in the end they did redeem him a bit by all the crying and later what all he did for Bondita in Thakumaa track, but voh track abhi bhi khatakta hai)

I dunno about the makers but I'd like to interpret it this way for my own happiness Makers ke dimag me bas comedy chalra hoga for all we know.

But, as fans of this show and the characters, we do really take a very deep and long look into the behavior and actions of the characters so I think all of us can speculate and make well formed opinions because we have invested time in understanding these characters as much as writers have spent writing them.

Honestly, I think this is what the writers are thinking as well because if you notice, from the beginning of the series and till now, Ani has gotten attracted to beauty but never known the actual person (mano and mini).

And just like you said, He did not have such an emotional bond with anyone. He might be attached to the people close to him but he never fought for anyone as much as he did for Bondita. If he truly felt that strongly for any of the woman who came into his life, he wouldn't have just let them go so easily.

However, with Bondita, all he knew about her was from a letter. The letter was all that he knew about this mysterious girl called Bondita and her written word, her thought, her personality made such an impact on him that it retained in his mind long after that letter was gone.

I remember the scene where Batuk asks him if Ani loves him more than the girl in the letter I think that was a hint that Bondita would become someone who is beyond family for him.

He always loved her for the soul that she is, it had no selfish desire or material aspect tied to it. Unlike with Mini, it was infatuation for her beauty and her charm, and with Mano, it was an infatuation for her beauty and the fighting spirit she had for the nation. They were like beautifully still lakes that he admired sitting on the shore line.

Whereas, Bondita, She inspired him, gave him courage, pushed him to face his own fears and gain strength to fight against the world.

She was his ocean, a turbulent ocean that he dove into headfirst and he learnt to swim in it's deep and vast waters. Now, these waters are all he knows and it has become his home.

Mano track was horrifying. I remember seeing the promo for the wedding night or something, I lost all my love for the show that instant I thought there was no return after that. Honestly, there wasn't but not watching the episode helped to black it out enough that when he started repenting later on, it helped to swallow the bitter pill.
