Everyone having a good or bad reaction to Fateh in todays episode: all i have to say is I deciphered his confusion as not 'Why am i hurt that Jasmine is not doing the usual antics to get my attention?' More like 'What is this Chameli's game? She does one thing then complete opposite the next: even im confused and lost!'

Im not going to overreact as Fateh is in different headspace now and Jasmine with her antics is trying to mess with him. To be honest even i as a fan am confused and cant decipher what jasmines game is so wonder what Fateh as a character is thinking.

I am not worried in the slightest whatsoever as Jasfa are gone for good and Fatejo are here to stay. Simple as that. 😊

Yup we've pretty much been rooting for a Fatejo separation as long as it means Tejo gets to have that pretty lil PhD on her resumé!!

Lowkey wondering if I should write that Fatejo divorce OS that's been on my mind for a while...

Episode Dissection - 103 (12th July)

If we use someone to move on; and we really mean our affections for them; can it be really termed as using someone?

This is the question that defines Fateh and his mental state at present, according to me.

Let's go step by step.

Tejasmine's convo highlighted many things today. Jasso is regretting not because she lost Fateh but because Tejo is receiving all the affections she wanted. The moment Tejo says that she has the support of Fateh's family members and specifically Fateh, Jasso cries. According to her delusional mindset, it was all hers. Her apology to Tejo was not a fake one either. She is apologetic that Tejo is stuck in her place but she is even more wounded that Tejo is actually managing it quite well. She feels well replaced! And this sense to being replaced so easily is haunting Jasmine Sandhu

Which is why she keeps repeating about Tejo being married to someone who would never love her. This truth is Jasmine truth that defines her existence and she needs it to have her sense of self and maintain her sanity. This is because her entire life she had needed other people. Her entire life she had seen Tejo being needed by everyone. No one has ever needed Jasmine Sandhu for anything. Despite her trials in that Ball, her family was more confident about Tejo winning it in one try. Despite them spoiling Jasso, there is this inherent bias in the treatment of the two sisters where Tejo is always kept at the forefront of decision making and power plays. Jasmine is not even considered. As such for the first time in her life, Jasso was needed by someone; by Fateh. Fateh had repeatedly told her how he needed her to live. Jasmine had hold onto it like a drowning soul in a sea and she expected him to always need her.

Fateh replacing her with Tejo, as she sees it, is a betrayal of everything she had seen till date. And like always Tejo is needed, not her.

I was deeply invested in the portrayal of her angst today. She was volatile, volcanic and insidious as she stared at Tejo talking to Fateh. Fatejo are oblivious to the storm brewing and Jasso is slowly losing it. Her call to Sweety in the middle of the night to assure herself that Fateh is calling to make her jealous is like catching at the last straws. She is deeply invested in Fateh needing her and she understands it too. She confessed how Fateh is her Zid now. She doesn't love him at all....there is no sign of love. It is all a sense of purpose that Fateh gives her and this is more dangerous and powerful than love.

Same is the case with Fateh. Tejo gives Fateh his Sense of purpose. His inability to stay apart from her for even one night is the obvious example. It hurts him to stay away from her but he isn't realising it yet. He thinks it's just that Tejo is his habit. He doesn't realise the repercussion of his attachment to her and the reason either. Tejo helps Fateh stay afloat. He was in a dark place and she is the one who helped him reach the shore. As such, it is never possible for him to stay away. At this part, his calls to her, then after cutting the call, caressing the bed on her side; his attempts at cooking and finally dashing into her house - none of this was any contrived plot to trouble Jasmine.

These were all his attempts to move on, to hold onto Tejo without him he is in an abyss. In fact, Jasso was not even in his mind, with the way they ran into the house, stealthily bypassing Harman and Bebe sleeping. His antics and cheer ..... None of it were faked. He enjoys being with her and when she is there, he is blind to anything else.

He only realized about Jasso when he saw her....and he stooped short. But then comes the tricky part where he makes Tejo sit right in the line of sight of Jasso. Then they enjoy.

Now according to me, their interaction was not faked. But Fateh very knowingly placed themselves there in an effort to feel vindicated. He did not know whether she was asleep or not but just like she proposed Gippy in front of him; he flaunted his bond with his wife in front of a sleeping Jasso. In nor way is he trying to use Tejo to hurt Jasso, he is using Tejo as a crutch to get up and engage with her as a life partner. There is no scene of ever leaving Tejo for Jasso. But also, he is trying to make This clear to Jasso that she is replaced. It is Tejo in his life now.

Fateh had a clear idea of her manipulation+ he is hurt by her proposal antic which he knew was meant to hurt him. This is his answer to her attack by showing her that he is in a better relationship with Tejo which is real unlike hers and Gippy's and is also a strong one. His glance at her as he leaves.....speaks volumes about this.

Fateh also has been playing with the upper hand. After the wedding fiasco, it is Jasso who is trying to reach to him....running after him. And feeling vindicated at her longing for him, Fateh is moving on... leaving her behind. He is irritated with her and has a sense of disgust at the way she pursues him. This takes an abrupt turn when Jasso moves past him without talking to him. He is immediately rattled at the change of equation and reacts immediately.... searching her out to understand her actions. Unlike to Jasso's delusional mind, it is not love. It is a feeling of competitiveness, a measure of insecurity at feeling frazzled by her ignoring him and finally his curiousity to her motives.

Jasso has played her cards well in this one.

Lastly, I loved Tejo in the start of the episode. Wanted to keep this for the last. She is very clear about the fact that to be happy one needs to be positive and leave behind the unhappy memories. This tells me that Tejo is going to have the highest amount of success moving on. She doesn't lament, cry and sit around sulking. Nor does she go around plotting or blaming the world. She takes control of the situation and works for it to settle it. This reminded me of the words to Shaurya....the ML of SAAKK. He had said that things don't become ok by themselves; we have to actually tackle them to make them fine. This is Tejo's mantra too. And whatever heartbreak is in her future, she will never falter. In fact she will be able to leave them behind and move on.

Also I liked the fact how Tejo could predict that his headphones were right next to him. It is not just Fateh who is used to her....even Tejo is used to Fateh now. They are a part of each other.

This is all for today. Would love your views!

I don't have the actual reaction emoji for this. I'm protecting my dainty heart in case fateh actually does something shitty (gonna watch it after a few days maybe).

Your analysis makes me feel a bit better, maybe I was just being very dramatic. However I'm constantly scared for tejo because she's falling for fateh and she's the only one who can't see people for who they're. She sees too much good in people, and has a habit of fixing everything and everyone. She's not learned how to actually focus on her happiness.

In fateh's defense I'd point out that he's genuinely spending almost all his time, sharing his praise in front of family without chameli around. That he genuinely wants to move on with tejo, and in every step tejo is a perfect companion for him. I am just shocked at the last scene where he's looking for chameli (gotta say I've not seen yet. Fateh I've defended you, I swear if you hurt tejo imma throw you into a volcano)

I hope I'm just being a little delulu because I don't like anyone who hurts tejo.

@bold

Damn, I never thought how nobody really expects Jasmine to make wise decision or depend on her. The family is to be blamed for pampering and shielding her too much and she is also to be blamed for never taking an initiative.

@blue bold

Fateh did make her believe that she was his world, his promises. Even she sincerely believed his words no matter how rash and bratty she is. What she can't understand is that, Fateh didn't replace her as his love interest, he just has a friend who is willing to help him no matter how many times he falls down. Hence he became dependent on T, as she was the one who had patience when he was completely broken.

@green bold

I liked Jasmine's silent breakdown when she was eavesdropping F&T's phone call. The actress did a good job. 👍🏼

It was like slowly, she is realizing what she lost and what her sister got, what was "rightfully" hers and she wants to have it back because with Gippy, there won't be this devotion/ comfort/ friendship. Except, Tejo gives more than she takes (Jasmine would rarely give anything).

I was watching a show where the male lead met the female lead in his darkest period, he was suicidal, he completely changed from what he used to be, what he loved to be. She saved him repeatedly and every time he had to give up on her, he never did. Even if he did, he would always come back to her because she was his refuge when he felt he was unworthy.

I think same can happen to Fateh. He will never be able to let go of T completely unlike how he is slowly getting there with Jasmine.

@ coloured

I also like this aspect of her personality. It's a very strong feature which I find rare in female leads. Especially when they are the ones who can move forward, head held high, doing the right thing.

Definitely liked the insight on Jasmine's thoughts 👏
