Many people might know it.. Malwa me aaj bhi Hindi hi bolte hai.. Marathi was probably limited to court, just like Persian in Mughal court

So there would be Elite learned members knowing more than one language.. baki these two languages aren't so apart.. so may be they understood it but might not have spoken it.

I have studied Gujarat's regional history, even Malwa but late Medieval, Early Modern itna nahi padha, not in context of Ahilya. Though I did read about the mint of Chandwad and the economic contribution of it in Malwa, it was considered second capital due to its geo-economic and strategic location. Earned very high revenues.

Yup! I won't share anything that isn't in a public space yet, as it is researcher's mehnat.. it has to be published. I interacted with them when they came to our department for a seminar.

I will be doing PhD :) haven't finalized a topic yet. Looking for something interesting😳
