HSSH, as it had better story, better ensemble cast, she characterization of roles, emotions. There was some depth to the characters. It wasn't a big blockbuster like HAHK but it definitely had better story, acting, emotions.

HAHK is nothing but non stop antakshari, festivities, embellished clothes, exaggerated emotions. No doubt it had super hit songs which played a huge role in making it a blockbuster.

There is no character build up or emotional connect with lead protagonists.

HSSH wins in my book for that song they perform when tabu comes home as the bahu. And mayya yashoda.

HAHK .. HSSH overload of sanskaar

I really like HSSH's Ramayana-inspired storyline.

HSSH is the better one
