Actually i agree with you partly.. after their wedding, i stopped connecting with her.. esp post the necklace drama.. her father dragged her away and she comes back saying i will stand by raghav.. i just couldnt connect to her.. the writers made it all about raghav for her.. what about her own feelings for herself, the injustice towards herself? Even the feet washing scene, again about raghav and nothing for herself as a character. Her family has done her wrong.. if a character, at such crucial points doesnt elaborate on the emotions her character went through and only stand for other characters and audience has to extrapolate and empathize with her by putting ourselves in her shoes , then its not good writing.. i know everyone was happy but i just couldnt feel it.. it was good plot to show her tipping point but her feelings were brushed.. her aggressiveness only when raghav is bad mouthed was totally uncalled for when sunny said much more vile things about her. “pallavi is like that “ explanation just doesnt suffice cuz i lost connect to the character as a viewer..i just couldnt connect to her till the i trust raghav cannot do this hit n run ..very exaggerated..there also lame reasons i felt.. yes she can trust him that he wouldve taken mandaar to the hospital but the fact is that mandaar was taken to the hospital but nothing materialized for the family cuz of it..
Actually, the last few days i have been able to connect to her.. she is expressing her emotions.. i love that this justice for mandaar is not all about just ayi-baba but about herself as well.. atleast as much as ayi-baba, if not more.. right or wring.. shortsightedness at the impact of her current relationship be damned.. just that she is acting out emotionally on her behalf has my whole heart.
Even today i loved it.. she expressed her disappointment to raghav.. very indirectly she conveyed to raghav that she is just as emotionally needy about him as much as he is about her.. she wants him to prioritise her as much as she does him.. it hurts her, to see raghav and her at the opposite ends of a situation..i hope raghav has registered what exactly she conveyed to him and not be dense.. men can be soooo dense in such things.. her expressing all this made her so much human and relatable.
This situation is something both cannot come out unscathed of.. their actions are going to hurt each other so much. both of them stand to lose so much.. but to see the entire display of emotions from both characters hits me really differently... i feel for pallavi.. i feel for raghav.. i feel for their relationship.. actions/ morality be damned..
I think she's doing the right thing by expressing her thoughts to Raghav. In future, no one can blame her for creating confusion or make assumptions about her intentions. It's such a relief to see this, otherwise we know how it tends to go on ITV.
One thing, though, for someone who wanted to keep the abortion fiasco under wraps because she was being sensitive towards Mansi, Amruta, etc. and the impact on their reputation, she is now doing the opposite. Back then, Raghav was going full speed trying to expose the culprit while she was avoiding that, and now she's trying to expose the culprit while he is trying to cover things up. It's not just about saving reputations but also lives. Right now it's to prevent Keerti from going to jail so that her life isn't ruined and her image isn't tarnished. So we are seeing her character growth, or should I say since meeting Raghav, and especially since the wedding she's become more vocal and worries less about filtering her words.
Raghav knows she's all alone, and that she needs support, even without her saying so. That's why he feels so distraught. Heck, even when Amma was telling him about Pallavi struggling, he was clearly aligned with her observation.
Ever since the early days, despite their fights, he always found a way to help her. Now, when she needs him most, he's unable to. Imagine if his family hadn't been involved in Mandaar's death, you an bet Raghav would have proactively helped her discover the truth and punish the offenders.
Sigh...
