In the Tamil version, I thought the scene was perfect! It focused less on Kathir's stumbling and utter drunkness and more on Kathir's emotions, and I hope, if Shiva does drink, the scene is set at the same standards. The general set up of the breakdown is different here, so I am waiting to see what the CVs are cooking up for us this time.

The scene you described would be perfect if there is a Pandya Store book version! I do like the idea of the tree (more than the shower scene as I don't want KD's body to detract from the scene either 😆). However, instead of telling Raavi he read the diary, I wish he just handed it back to her, no questions or comments spoken. Then, if Raavi begins a confrontation, Shiva could lament how he always trusted her, but she never seemed to trust him and they could have flashback scenes of the kidnapping, kangan kaand, etc.

@bold, this is the reason I started watching Pandya Store. I was so moved by Kathir's heartbreak and was interested to see how Pandya Store would handle it.

I enjoy spicy food or French fries when I’m in the mood to gossip 😆 I feel like a nice meal cheers me up as well!

I didn’t watch the Tamil version but I do hope they take some pointers from there. I have heard great things about it! As long as it’s not OTT, I’m okay with it. Some ITV drunk scenes make me cringe and reach for the remote 😆 even if I like the actor!

Haha true, a shower scene might end up being too distracting and plus they don’t have a separate bathroom 😆 The tree would be a great alternative!

@Bold I love this ❤️ A silently burning Shiva would be apt for this track. One who speaks less but puts his point across! I would prefer to see Raavi putting the pieces together and reflecting from her end while Shiva quietly lays down on his side of the mattress. A subtle but heartbreaking moment! 💔

They have a great reference point from the OG. Granted Shiva and Kathir are very different but pain and heartbreak is there for both. They should use that scene as a foundation and go from there. Let’s see what they have to offer!

I honestly am a big fan of drunk confessions and not the funny ones or the Gul Khanesque masochistic one!

One of my favourites is from Gulaal-Sphere Origins show. I am not elaborating here, but somehow, I feel the tree would have made a considerable impact too!

@Bold you read my mind 😆 that’s what turned me off from such scenes. There are very few drunk confessions that are done well. Can’t think of many off the top of my head but I really liked the one in Swaragini between SwaSan. It did involve the entire family, but was very well done. Rational and more focused on dialogue & emotion rather than animated gestures.

If I get the chance, I’ll def check out the scene from Gulaal! The tree would have been a great alternative! I just hope they stay far away from the OTT scenes ITV is known for.

I think it’s a flashback. Wasn’t she wearing a different outfit in the scene with KD. I don’t think there is any other BTS of her in this outfit. I really hope it’s a flashback 😆

She looks gorgeous. I want her to switch back to this look from time to time. In fact all the ladies. It's like they have a template and they stick with it. They should switch between sarees, suits, Kurtis, Indo western, etc. With different hairstyles for different days. We all dont stick to same hairstyles in real life either.

Tbh, I don’t mind simply because Raavi has never romanced Dev. That would involve both parties 😆 I personally believe her and Dev have never had solo interactions that can be termed as romantic. It’s either her telling everyone else about what she wants to do with Dev or being shy/cute around Dev while he stands there looking clueless 😆

And I don’t think they will show any dream sequences. There isn’t enough time here for that. The memories from the diary will involve Shiva in a huge way.

KD posted a story with AK on BG doing chapad chapd and I think she was wearing the same clothes and it had her wearing MS and Sindoor.

I hope it was her bringing that old style back as well as the FB.

Same, I try not to hope but then it creeps in 😆 I think the biggest issue is them making everything light hearted! It’ll be such a shame if that’s does here because it will become a mockery of Shiva’s emotions and will affect Raavi’s growth as a character as well. They can use the other characters for light hearted scene and leave the heavier scenes to ShiVi. When the track shifts to GauRa or DevTa, they can switch it up. I don’t understand the constant need for light-hearted scenes though. It’s a huge issue when it comes to this show.

What's the need of light-hearted scenes in every episode. If we look at the wedding track, there were no light-hearted scenes for 5 episodes I guess and that was perfect. It suited the track and we all k ow how much we love the track.

I want this track to be as beautiful as wedding track if not more than that. I hope we get it.
