Let me say - I loved all the Adi Imlie junior T pieces - so in that regard episode was good. I also liked all the questions raised against Adi and the defense of Malini and the injustice to her...it made sense to me. I also am onboard with T rejection of Imlie on account of deception, lies, loyalty and sympathy for Malini.

I grew up in a household in India and it is unfathomable for me that a respectable middle class family will use language like this to rant and verbally abuse a 19 year old they claimed to love like their own - without even listening to her POV.

Naukrani ki pechaan, benaam, begairat, naagin, not massoom and misbehaving with shaadi shudha man, mother sent her from village to city to trap rich men by acting innocent,,....these for me are vile accusations that constitute verbal abuse. i know for a lot of folks this adds the drama quotient - but what happened to everyone liking this show as its organic?

Do you believe the episode today was organic and real or highly hyped up, sensationalized, out of characterization for the T's...and more like the other run of the mill shows out there? What is the difference between T's and Anu? At least she says what she feels. T's are worse - they think they are fair minded and decent but are classist and hypocritical. I cannot profess to like the show for its organic real world underplayed execution and then like this overly vicious episode. They did not give her an inch. They crucified her on all counts - she was worried about. servant, photo on the wall, village roots, malini preference, their happiness, her concern that truth will not win and she will not be understood, it was overdone.

Imlie has hidden her marriage, become a maid, given her haq to Malini, saved Malini's life, Adi's life, gotten them out of jail, arranged for their son's marriage, none of this even passed through their head?? This episode could have been limited to deception and kept it real.

Can you go back and enjoy all the old episodes where T's seemed like simple genuine people who took Imlie just at face value and loved her without it being tainted with today's episode? When I look back to the episode where they sang as a family for Imlie just 2 days ago - the whole feel is gone now - they were slumming with the naukrani is what remains. Will you believe in 2 weeks when they flip - that miraculously all their classist and hypocritical ideas changed when they act all loving to Imlie again (just like before).

Just cannot trust T's is the take away from episode today and that is a loss for viewers who loved the show for its real organic genuine non hyped feel.

If I were Imlie - I would refuse to say anything in my defense but still stay with BBSB - to honor the saath he gave her. I would not leave the house nor even try to win the T's back. You don't dignify abuse like this with a response....but you do appreciate saath with loyalty.

Sorry about the rant - just loved the T - Imlie equation, Inconsistent characterization is the death knoll to any story.

I can understand your pain here PPak. Infact, you have me the perfect post to write what has been running in my mind since yesterday.

The disconnect for you and a lot if people was with the dialogues that the T's spouted against their behaviour with her all this time. Someone you consider a beti of the house, you don't call her such names, no matter the circumstances.

While I agree with you to a large extent. I have also grown up in a middle class household and we never even imagined using such words for anybody.

But here somewhere I feel the equation is different. The reason being that no matter how much they loved her, there was always a line that was never crossed. The T's have always been socially conscious people. For them status in society matters, case in point that they never allowed Rupi to divorce despite her being unhappy in her marriage. They used to be very disturbed after the suicide kand by Adi being close to and taking care of Imlie, as it does not look right. They would even bear with Anu's taunts without retaliating, as achcha nahi lagta hai.

Imlie was treated well, but still treated like the help she was. Everytime she was in the kitchen, the tone used for her was different than the tone for the other ladies of the house, slightly authoritative, like you would do for someone who works for you. BK adored Imlie, but everytime we saw her study with him, she was always sitting down while BK used to be in the sofa. The same was also with Malini or even BS before he accepted her. Imlie never sat on the table with the family to eat except for the one time when Sundar also was sitting with everyone. There were always very subtle signs throughout that while the T's consider Imlie as their responsibility, there was always a slight difference in their behaviour with her as against their own kids. That was why it was easier for them to put the suicide blame on her and send her away and after she came back also, Aparna and Radha often alluded to her place and just stopped short of calling her a servant, till she won them over with her selfless behavior.

Today everyone's worst nightmare came true. Aparna's worry that her son chose someone else over Malini, cheated Malini and chose a girl like Imlie as his life partner is the hardest pill for her to digest. Jis ladki se woh itna pyaar karti thi lied to her all this time, created situations that caused Adi to fall for her and now wants to call her his wife. Now Aparna has to deal with telling the world that her DIL is a 19 yr old girl froma village jiski zabardasti shaadi ho gayi thi with her son.

I have said this before. Beti banana aasaan hai, par usi beti ko bahu manana is that much more difficult, if she is from a lower strata than you. Bahu is the pride of the family and society usually look at the beauty rather than the gun when commenting on your choice. When people will know the whole truth, they will raise a lot of questions, which were running in Aparna's mind.

Aparna is a lot like her son. For her if she gets mad, she shows her worst behaviour just so that they leave themselves and she does not have to deal with the situation. Same as her son did early on, today Aparna also called her names and tried to keep asserting to her that she will never be her bahu and that she is not layak to be in their house. Just like how Adi made sure to show her place to Imlie, today Aparna did the same with her words.

While I did not enjoy it, like I have said before I expected this from the T family, so it was easier for me to digest. This journey is long, but the benefit is that the base of the relationship is already there that cannot be denied. That will be the reason this journey will be shorter but harder to get to the other side.

Aparna also with mouth gaping open a little and tears flowing from her eyes, goes into flashback mode 😆Aditya ko lagta hai she is reminicing the times when imlie ne parivaar ki izzat ko bachaya, parivaar ko sahara diya, uska b'day party plan kiya🤣

So when teary Aparna came towards him, Aditya ko ek second ke liye darr laga. Then he was like nahh😆

Usko laga ki Aparna ke aankhon mein khushi ke aason hai and uski maa usko gale laga ke congratulate karne wali thi🤪. So imagine his shock when Aparna ne kheech ke ek tappad maara🤣

Dev aaja tha hai stop it, stop it Anu karte hue. Tumhari waja se bohut tamasha hochuka hai and bohut klesh bhi😆 (Ek beti ki zindagi bardaad.. its okay! But klesh in T-fam? Not okay!)

Anu reminds him that Imlie ruined her daughters life. Dev says I dont care, just shut up and c-nivas chalo.

One last gusse aur nafrat ki look aditya ke saath exchange karke Anu t-house se nikalti hai😆

Malini the mahaan asks maaaa to listen to Aditya and imlie before bharsoing more thappad on them😆

Ise kehte hai khaya piya kuch nai glass thoda barah aana. Yeh saara T-tamasha toh waise bhi honi thi. Just because Anu ne ek photo frame gift kiya saara blame uspe aagaya😛

imlie ki upbringing hopefully kabhi bhi question mein nahi ayegi.. aur ayegi bhi toh in passing…

we r forgetting a very basic trait of Tripathi’s… they are very good hearted people.. jinhonne ek baar Aditya aur imlie ko question nahi kiya in past several weeks aaj unko aise OTT dialogues de diye.. several weeks chodo they were ready to accept anyone as Imlies pati n not question her.. ready understand the circumstances… they r good at their core..

But this is beyond their comprehension.. shaadi.. gunpoint .. pyaaar.. dosti.. dhoka abhi everything is too much.. that’s why this too much reaction… they will come around and when they do u will see how regretful they r about their behavior…

Ok what is ur thoughts on how much they will push for this drama? How long it will be stretched?

Humari Imeliya humesha ishmart thi. She knew ki kaun kitne paani mein hai. Sab ke reactions were almost identical to her sapna when she imagined BS telling the truth.
