Part of our resentment does stem from the fact that Dev, despite having caused such misery, is easily let off just because of his nobility and diplomatically quiet nature. As much as I wouldn't say I like Dev for his non-verbosity, I love Rishita!

She has spunk, voices her opinions without inhibition, and always has a strong independent streak.

She has her own set of shortcomings, but the girl has a spark. She is Mahi or Dhoni, for sure. I have always wanted to talk about Dev and Rishits’s love and why they might have fallen for each other.

Why do human beings get attracted to each other? What is the cause of relationships? Why do people look for partners who are mirrors to their souls? Why do some people look for partners who can add rapture, passion and adventure to their existences?

Dev has been pretty much straight-jacketed all his life. A simple man with the non-vocal rulebook. He lacks depth like Gautam, has no funny bone like Krish, and isn’t even laborious like Shiva.

Dev belongs to a general of men who are good, kind-hearted but lack a spine. They also come across as desirable soft-spoken grooms for the women. I wonder part of his temptation towards Rishita came from the fact that she is all that he could never be…

Smart, obstinate, headstrong above all vocal! She is the voice he could never have!

Shiva has huge compartmentalisation issues, while Dev has denial. As an individual, Dev declines to believe that he can remedy something that has gone wrong.

He is not a man of strategy, and Rishita brings all that warfare to his life. He is put as a prudent juxtaposition to Rishita. Her stubbornness, getting off the hook with her tantrums, and above all, her unabashedly sense of justice. She probably thrills him from the inside.

He could never be as flamboyant as his brothers, and Rishita’s persona drew him like a magnet as an escape to his reality. This is what I love about Pandya store mates. They serve as 👌 foils to each other – something which is amiss in most of the shows!

Simran is very expressive, and she stole my heart today ❤️

They look like a couple who has recently discovered intimacy, and are basking in the glory of it.

Dev looked good in these scenes. I think Akshay severely lacks in the chemistry department with Simarsn who seems to be putting a great effort. He has to put in more love!

Simran is looking gorgeous!

Her eyes ❤️❤️❤️

P.S: Why the heck IF doesn't allow me to tag anyone on my longer posts 🤬

😭

This is beautiful analysis.❤️

I finally got some clarity on why rishita fell for Dev.❤️

She is all that he could never be.smart, obstinate, headstrong, vocal.👏👏👏

Perhaps that's why Dev could never connect with raavi.she was always shy around him.he saw her as someone like himself.soft spoken, well behaved, polished.they lacked a spark.

Raavi was herself with shiva only.dev never got to see her bubbly side.her antics.

Shivi were very different with each other than they are with the world.

Random observation after watching the promo 😆

Shiva falls on Raavi probably after telling about the diary, when she holds him she has the diary on her other hand and she gets really scared when he falls.. Hopefully she starts understanding Shiva's emotions, I'm all excited for this!! PS makers better not disappoint us 😆

🤗Thank you so much

Rishita is truly his pillar, I’m beginning to see how he was drawn to her. Now what remains to be seen is how she was drawn to him 😆

Probably. She was attracted to his lovely diplomatic nature 😆

One thing I like about Dev is his bond with Dhara. The angry young man that he turns into for her. How he tells her firmly to go and barofy oli while Gaumbi and Shiva just gestured. When he gets mad at someone for I’ll treating Dhara, that’s his best version and the only version I’ve been able to like so far 😆

True! He has only angst when someone attacks Dhara 🤗

Hope they pick good tracks from the og coz the other remake shows sometimes copy everything even the crappy stuff and have nothing original to offer and any time they add extra its for the wrong thing lol also its hard to see how creative the writers are considering how their own invented tracks have been lol

This is probably going to be a long, unrelated post, but I thought I would share my thoughts regardless. I by no means am an expert in any of this, but this is just the thoughts that I had from the 24 (soon to be 25) years of experience I had.

Creativity that writers have often comes from real life experiences, media/writing/movies they've been exposed to, family stories that have been passed on, etc. I've found that the more you are open to other cultures and languages, the more "creative" you become as you can apply ideas from all these different cultures.

As for remake shows that copy everything, I personally believe it's physically impossible to copy everything 😆. Perhaps the major storylines, but it's next to impossible to copy dialogues/scenes. For example, some dialogues just make no sense in other languages. In Telugu, there's this saying "Mundu vundi musalla panduga" which essentially translates to "In front of you is a crocodile festival" 😆. It sounds so rich and confusing in English, but it basically means, "Watch it bro, you're in danger!"

As for scenes, some character relationships and scenes make no sense. For example, in the OG, Shiva and Raavi are related by blood as you can marry cousins, but the Hindi changed this relationship to be more culturally appropriate. As such, there could be a possibility of Raavi's extended family being introduced in the show eventually. Karva Chauth and Holi are just not festivals that are widely celebrated in the South, so those scenes typically cannot be replicated.

That being said, I don't think COVID should ever be used as an excuse for bad story telling. IMO, writers could use the pandemic to write some of the most unique ideas never before seen on ITV. Global pandemics this well known are honestly a once in a lifetime event (as per the many doctors I speak to). CVs could've capitalized on this whole thing and created something that truly would've lifted them out of the roost.

For example, a realistic storyline, that I would loved to see while they were at the Haveli is:

While Krish and Shiva are busy trying to scare Rishita, Rishita could've been so appalled by the "shared" money concept the family had, that she was inclined to start her own business. However, because she couldn't start a business herself, she could've employed Raavi. Raavi could've joined Rishita's business uncomfortably to be away from Shiva.

While Raavi and Rishita plan out some food related business (they could start a Chinese-Indian food delivery business where Raavi does the cooking and Rishita sits there looking pretty), Dhara could've busied herself trying to think up of ways to get ShiVi together, and Gaumbi could trail after her for her attention.

It would've been a refreshing storyline to see two young women set up some sort of food business. Rishita could've solved the "shared" money crisis by earning money for herself, and Raavi could put her degree to use.
