Revelations and concerns.

Okay long rant. I always prefer posting on the EDT but this got thoda zyada long so bear with me here okay

Note: Feel free to share your rant here too so we can track 'em all😆 But also, please keep this place toxicity-free and be mindful of your sanskaar when providing criticism warna Daadi aa jaayengi🤣

My take on the current tracks:

There are two tracks going on right now: Daadi/Savitri's truth and Rhea's truth. One that Ishqi is hiding from Ahaan and one that Ahaan is hiding from Ishqi, both for logical reasons I'd say. It seems to me that the creatives are trying to portray how both Ahaan and Ishqi tackle their secrets they've kept from each other and everyone else, by showing these two as sort of parallel tracks. I like that the show's sole focus is not on one track alone which often tires me out because of characters talking about the same issue day in and day out. However, in the process of keeping things interesting, the team seems to be forgetting that these two tracks are not the same in terms of significance.

The show's driving theme (if the new direction team even bothered to watch the initial promos/learn about it) is Ahaan-Ishqi being from different schools of thought*(see clip below) and how they fall in love, and it's a journey where we get to see how they learn to find a middle ground without outright rejecting everything the other person believes/does. Not everything Ahaan thinks or practices is wrong, and the same holds true for Ishqi. This particular outlook Ahaan grew up with, where women who want to work and have a voice are seen as careless homemakers/home-wreckers is solely because of Savitri's "truth" fed to him by Daadi dearest. Daadi/Savitri's truth shaped who Ahaan is as a person while Rhea's truth is something that's just forcing him to do things he doesn't really want to do (lie to Ishqi, keep secrets, risk their relationship etc.). Deep down (as Ishqi mentioned recently), Ahaan has Savitri's values, dil se. But it's hidden so well in his subconscious that it doesn't come out except for extraordinary circumstances (for instance, with Ishqi). Excuse me for using such a sensitive reference: Daadi/Savitri's truth is like the pandemic that's affected every part of Ahaan's life while Rhea's is just a temporary inconvenience. Are the two similar? And how justified it is if Savitri's track gets overshadowed by Rhea's track or Savitri's truth comes out before Rhea's truth?

My concern:

Desi TV shows usually keep the central/most important tracks to be resolved with the most focus and detailing. If Ahaan was truly the biological father of Rhea's child, I'd have still given this a pass maybe because it could then address another issue in the society where we have divided opinions: single motherhood, fathers taking on responsibility despite being married to someone else and so on. It would've worked because it doesn't conform to the society's idea of a 'conventional family', something Ahaan and the people surrounding him (Malhotras, Sarla etc.) strongly believe in. But that's NOT THE CASE HERE. We as audience already know Rhea's truth, and that this is just a temporary hiccup in Ahaan's life, so it obviously isn't the same thing, and the fact that Rhea has turned into a negative character makes it so much harder for us to actually feel anything positive at all for her. No matter how it's being shown right now, pregnancy drama is a subplot not actually part of the original plot--it's not directly connected to the original plot (at least not if I understood it right).

I guess it'll still make sense to focus so much on Rhea's truth track if their idea is to get done with this one first so Savitri's truth track can take the center stage later but if the idea is to cover the Savitri track first, clear up the Ahaan's MU regarding his mother and Daadi, and then wrap up the Rhea track then I'd see that as a failure on the creative team's part to convey the original idea of the show. Once Savitri's truth comes out, Ahaan really has no solid reason to strongly oppose Ishqi's worldview afterwards, because by that time he'd realize that his 1921 values were mostly instilled by Daadi who had always been wrong about Savitri and made him believe in many wrong things. How, then, will the makers be able to convey "shaadi ko lekar alag hain dono ki soch" (tagline of the show) if Ishqi proves to him that the main reason behind his 'soch' (his mom abandoning them) is baseless? If Ahaan gets his mother back in his life and that issue is somehow magically sorted before Rhea's truth is out, the guy will be so grateful to Ishqi and so blindly trusting that he'll perhaps do or say anything she says. There will be no Daadi, no sanskaar and achaar-vichaar😆 no prejudices and no conflicts whatsoever. Where will that leave us?

P.S. The new direction team is badly in need of some direction

P.P.S. Just to be clear, I don't think the Rhea's truth track is completely unnecessary, especially considering how Ishqaan still need to grow as a couple.

P.P.P.S. Please bring Bhola back. And please give Ahaan a different hairstyle other than the Gaston one he currently has. It hurts

I have no problme in pregnancy track either but they are overplaying that and underplaying Savitri. There is no sense of getting savitri back in Ahaan’s life before Rhea’s exit. He will listen to Ishqi in Savitri’s case only because of his guilt that he wronged her because of pregnancy?😕

Also, where is Ishqi’s job? Have they forgotten it like Bhola?😡 There is no spoiler or BTS for her job issue? That had to come before savitri? What’s the point of showing it after savitri’s return and dadi’s truth revelation? it no longer remains conflict then. Ahaan will no longer disagree with her? Then where is theme of the show? They are going off track with this drama. I hope it still plays out in some way and savitri doesn’t reveal everything now.

I am so irritated that ishqi is not talking about job and is so much into this savitri drama. Doesn’t she have to support her maasi?

Rhea has to leave soon. I can’t take guilty Ahaan dealing savitri and conflict with ishqi. It just doesn’t have that impact.

That's a WHOLE other topic I didn't even want to get into because it'll just make me mad. I WANT ISHQI TO HAVE A FRIGGIN JOB! Given the show's original plot, this should be one of the biggest issues they deal with but Ishqi probably doesn't care anymore because Maasi has a roof over her head and enough chai patti to live the rest of her life happily😳 YEH KYA HAIN BEY 😡

Koi apne reception mein whole family black pehenta hai bhala? Never seen such thng.

It looked like some Halloween theme party🤢

Aur camera angle and lighting ki to poocho mat. Even BTS shot in mobile phones looks so much better than the episodes.

Long shot ko short karte hai and vice-versa.

I honestly believe that the Rhea drama will be over before Savitri. Why? Because of yesterday and that seed of doubt that's formed in Karthik. Right now, Ahaan's only agenda is to tell Ishqi what he believes is the truth. Nowhere is he seen questioning or investigating the lie he's been fed. But his statement of 'no woman will lie about this' still proves his 1921 thinking to me.

What I find a little disturbing, especially with Ahaan is his focus on the much awaited SR and all those hormones that are raging instead of digging into the depths of this problem. His inner turmoil which it should be right now is where the CVs are failing me! Yes we want Ishqaan moments but not under this Rhea sword that is hanging. There union whenever it happens should be under no lies or disillusions but honest and open.

The current precap of Savitri saying that there was someone who supported her, fails on 2 counts. One it proves there was another man and now matter how modern or progressive we may be, another man linked with a woman will be misconstrued. Two, the begs to ask where exactly was this supporter when she was imprisoned in that hospital and how much of a help could he have been if he didn't think to look for her. This backstory of Savitri's character is very badly outlined and very badly being portrayed.

I hope they manage to tie up all these rather jarring loop holes and bring back the original magic!

I just wonder how can Ahaan who had such an outdated thinking is changing himself overnight and I even thought that after marriage ishqi would work to support her maasi and this will bring a conflict between them but I still think that like we all think ahaan would be behind the bars maybe ishqi would work in the company and this would hamper his ego

I am actually losing interest due to these reasons. If we start complaining it would not end. The main back story being so messed up is not digestable at all. It feels that another writer took up the job suddenly without even reading the previous part. Because many people right here would wrap up those parts better than what is happening in the show.

I think Savitri drama will be a long one.. unless the show is really wrapping up.

Camera angles and editing is a topic I can go on and on about, it was the worst during the resort episodes, and honestly I've seen several other shows doing a good job despite moving to hotels/resort setups toh yeh bhi nahi keh sakte ke sirf resort ki wajah se editing kharaab huyi. Even I too liked the bts video of the dance more than the actual episode, bataao😳

Ameer log hain, pehente honge shayad black, what do we know 😳 Yeh log toh kuch bhi kare show mein sab popular trend ban jaata hain😆
