Aloo after signing with WWE, oops WME:

Main chali main chali, Hollywood ki gali…

Mujhe roke na koi…

BWF even before she signs any movie:

Yaad na teri aayegi, mujhko na satayegi…

Zidd yeh jhuti teri, terihi jaan leke jayegi…

LOL there goes her career in BW. Signed by HW agency thing has always been a jinx. Except a few praise articles in international web portals, she's gonna gain nothing.

Not like her next projects in BW are gonna do well. Her dream run was over the day Kalank tanked. Kalank, item song, music video, dad's movie, bashing by RW majority": The Domino Effect started long ago.

She's going to find it really tough there. No matter how woke Hollywood likes to act, they're xenophobics deep down. They tend to have their token non-American/white actor but expect them to act, "American." That's precisely what the likes of Kumail Nanjiani, Priyanka Chopra, and Lupita Nyong'o do when they're in the media. Alia also isn't "ethnic" enough for them.

What I also don't understand about Alia and her family is—while her mom likes to brag about their "white genes," how come she never learned a few accents? She has enough resources to hire a language trainer to teach her the posh British accent as well as the Cali accent.

Deepika has an Indian accent too, but she's far more eloquent than Alia. The latter simply blabbers like an overempowered 10-year-old. Apart from India predominantly, most film industries prefer subtlety almost to the level of underacting. Alia's main forte are those chatpata, loud characters.

Should be interesting, how it all pans out.

Signing se kuch nahi hota, even Sonam and Hrithik had signed up

I would love to see HR as James Bond, tbh. Problem with woke-ism there is that it's limited to blacks or LGBT+ people mainly, and Asians are still stereotyped. However, he could totally pull it off.

I don't think most Indians have a clue about what HW wants. They keep dreaming about their faves like Hrithik/Ash crossing over but HW already has their own thirst options. Why would they want a desi version of Bradley Cooper? The white skin/light eyed thing Indians obsess about doesn't hold the same value where half the actors have the same thing. Even in terms of looks, a John Abraham or Arjun Rampal type would hold more interest for them.

Most of the desis who've found some success - Mindy Kaling, Freida Pinto, Kumail Nanjiani, Riz Ahmed, Dev Patel, Aziz Ansari, Hasan Minaj, Parminder Nagra - are all pretty average looking and relatable. Mindy and Aziz can write their own parts and come with comedic talent. Riz, Dev and Parminder have British accents and can fit into more characters and relate much easier with the Western world.

Hollywood and Bollywood might as well be on two planets as far as casting is concerned. The former prefers relatable 'everyman' with preferably more brown or darker complexions. Bollywood on the otherhand wants the audience to 'aspire'. The whiter the complexion the better. And though we have compromised a lot on the looks (what a stepdown from the days of say Mumtaz and Vyjayanthimala) we still have unrealistic 'goddess' like expectations from our leading ladies. Certain Hollywood casting puzzles me. What do they see in Freida Pinto that we're missing -apart from the familiar name? On the otherhand we're both more or less on the same page regarding Ali Fazal. The man is talented and yes fits the everyman requirement for Hollywood .Yet Bollywood finds him goodlooking enough to be cast as a leading man.

Word to your post!

Aalia will not be able to achieve what PC has achieved in HW because PC practically lives in US / UK and is actively networking along with Nick.

PC is a Jonas now and is concentrating only on HW movies and her life there in US / UK.
