Nope . She isn’t going to cut it . Neither she has onscreen nor offscreen persona to make it in the US.

If she’s serious for anything long term or substantial she will have to move there for a few years, solidify a base and network with a few projects and then try and juggle between both countries if it works out in the US. I don’t think she needs to worry about her work in India, her acquaintance with KJo/Dharma pretty much guarantees she’ll always have work should she wish. The main question is if she can commit to maybe 2-3 years there if she is looking for substantial projects, that comes with its own complications, she’s going to be married soon if rumours are to be believed, and this will be a whole other commitment, having to set up base in a whole new country temporarily at least.

Look at PC hardly acted in Indian movies since she moved only produces. Her main projects are over there. So it’s either move or do it like DP or Aish, A project or two and maybe a red carpet or two and then back to India.

She doesn't have the looks. Let's say Aish, Priyanka, Deepika, Nargis, Frieda all had looks so looks clearly don't take you far. She doesn't have the accent, neither do I think she will be good at taking on different accents. On her best days she tries to talk like Kareena in interviews and that it self is cringe-worthy👎🏼Whether her talent is fit for Hollywood is another thing. But honestly how many roles are there in Hollywood for ladies with Indian accents?

Hollywood obviously doesn't have Bhansali like roles, but when they do a musical, the leads at least are graceful dancers and can sing well/had some training in singing. One exception would be Emma Watson as Belle...but Disney's too woke now anyways and ruining its own classics.

Bollywood's hypocrisy is as exposed as Hollywood's. Films have lost their shine, the kind of aura stars used to have, even till the time DP and Katrina were working round the clock is gone. But you started off about finest talents going there and all that - why would it even matter if you didn't put HW on a pedestal?

Man, HW makes like 2 musicals in 5 years. How does it even matter whether Alia gets those or not? What a strange thing to focus on. Musicals are such a tiny niche and I don't think Alia would be aiming for them in the first place. I don't know if she would be able to manage accents but if she can, her agent should try positioning her as a cute young Reese Witherspoon type - not the hot girl action heroine like DP and Priyanka tried.

Weren't you calling BW a fad that's ended? How is a 100 year old industry a fad? All this exposed stuff has zero relevance to anyone other than SSR fans and that's the honest truth. They claimed to boycott Sadak which was a crap film anyway. Alia's trailer for Gangubai has been extremely well-liked and there is no dislike/boycott campaign going on by the bots like it happened with Sadak. Controversies come and go but the industry as a whole keeps marching on.

And I'm sorry but I can't take you seriously when you talk about the aura and shine of BW during Katrina and Deepika times. lmao. What? I would have even understand if you said the 90s or the 50s or something like that. But BW doesn't have the aura and shine now of Deepika and Katrina times?!! 🤣

I don’t like Alia but lol, we think she is gonna go the PC way and hobnob with HW? That’s why she has Karan. She’ll go the parties he’ll tell her to go to and obey his vision. One of the best things about her really.

Karan has Dharma and Netflix connections, and Ambani/ RCE do lot of animation work for HWnovies and didn’t Uday Chopra set up a production house for HW movies?

HW is also pushing the woke ideology and doing a bunch of diversity hires( no shade, some actors do need the spotlight and are talented)… so their market share is spreading more to Asia. If Karan /Alia want to make it… She is in HW at the right time.

If I were to guess,she might even do Netflix series like mindy kaling and her Protege and get a bunch of brown people to promote her. Something like even the trashy Emily in Paris would work for her.

She is cheap, she shuts up and puts up. If neetu doesn’t intervene, she could actually make it.

Alia could easily land a Netflix/Amazon show without having to do any hard work for it. Even PC got Quantico thrown into her lap with no effort. What work did she have to do for it? She was a BW star and that was enough. DP also got xXx easily. She didn't struggle for it. Her struggle came afterwards since she was so bad in it that producers didn't know what roles they could possibly give her.

It’s all about strategy and who backs you. Then it can be easier than most people think to land a HW entry role. PC had Anjula Acharia and she got Quantico after the meme worthy music career. Karan/Aloo are smarter than that. People don’t realize how much behind the screens work goes into curating image/ personality etc.

These Netflix/Amazon guys have been hovering around BW for the last few years. Reed Hastings and Ted Sarandos have hung out at Mannat multiple times. Sarandos and his wife even went to visit Gauri at her store to keep up relations, for god's sake. Both Dharma and RCE have overall deals with Netflix. I'm not talking about a first-look deal that almost every celebrity Joe has. Overall deals are much bigger and more lucrative.

Amazon Prime has started their first production in India with Ram Setu. Jennifer Salke is always leaving comments on Akshay's instagram page. I think she's visited India also to try to figure out how to get a foothold.

I think both streamers would be thrilled to get a show starring a real BW star, not people like Abhishek. And if it's in English, it's Alia's ticket into HW. Her papa KJo can do that for her easily. And besides KJo, Alia has good relations with nearly everyone. She is Miss Congeniality and knows how use that to her advantage.

Deepika got xXx easily but completely fumbled it. She got the first chance but was horrible in it. I'm Indian and have been watching her for years but I couldn't understand a word of what she was saying and had to turn on subtitles. It's not surprising that she hasn't found work after that because it's not possible to use her in almost any movie no matter how hot she is. To make matters worse, she bombed off-screen too and simply doesn't have a personality that connects to anyone. She is trying again though she doesn't admit it publicly. But just a few months ago, she changed her agency from CAA to ICM Partners.

Even Katrina has tried to go to HW. Both Kat and Alia were in LA around the same time and trying to do same thing, right before the pandemic started. But the difference is that Kat is too old and doesn't have Aloo's backing.
