My view: you might be skeptical, but if you knew the language and started watching, you would get sucked right in. They have YKB magic without ever doing YKB. The family members are rarely all over each other. And you think ShiVi are good? Sorry, they don't hold a candle to KM, in my opinion. Slow burn drama at it's best.

It is a pretty realistic and logical show- it's pretty surprising for ITV in general and regional tv also, especially in this day and age.

Some scenes of ipkknd on hotstar.

And PS now.

I have not watched any daily soap apart from this.so maybe there is a certain idea of romance that these shows fuel.

Hate, physical attraction, sexual tension, changed feelings,denial and finally confession followed by SR.

Ya I can't remember any Hindi TV couple shown that way.

A lot of people felt they had chemistry from the beginning, but truthful opinion of Kekta Kitanu carrier and watcher of innumerable Gul Khan shows-

They went from 0 chemistry, sexual tension, physical attraction to a 100 over the 350+ episodes I watched. It builds up over time, you grow with the couple and the family, and slowly you can't get enough of them

@bold: IPK by Gul popularized this trope, and today every ITV show follows this barring very few 😆

Regional shows aren't like this though, especially the ones in the south 😆

I think that show changed the notion that a pure love story cannot get trps.

It didn't have any SAAS bahu drama and still was successful in a prime time slot.thats a big achievement.
