Sorry... got in late to the party! I am here now.
As soon as we saw the reporters and Anu, we got a hint of what to expect. However, it did jarr a bit in some scenes. Adi entering when he did and there seemed to be a disjoint there in between, to when her face is wiped. Adi gives her the Handkerchief I am assuming.
Dev se to kuch expectations the nahin. Anu ma'am se jitne expectations thi, unpe khari utri. Malini madam ne aaj disappoint kar di.
Aditya se jo expect kiya utna nahi aaya... but teek hain.
On to the details now.
Dev C stepping away, albeit to pacify Anu and the standard "What the hell are you doing?" was expected and nothing unusual. Imlie being tongue-tied looking at the people thrusting their mikes at her, was expected. This was a girl, jo planned press conference main bhi thoda sa hil gayi thi.
This is where it jarred for me a bit. One of the lecturers calls up Aditya (a side note: In Pagdandiya, when Imlie is given her marks card and certificates, her name reads Imlie Aditya Tripati, considering Nishanth did her admissions and her papers were checked multiple times by badke kaka, nobody noticed this?). Please note Adi is still unwell, and on the bed. He makes a mad dash to the college, stopped on the way by Aparna.
The whole ink throwing things is taken away for lot of reasons leading to continuity issues in the storyline. Adi when we see him is looking at Imlie up and down, trying to access if she is hurt (This was sweet I felt), but next scene, Imlie's face is wiped up to the best possible.
Now is where it gets interesting. Aditya might be a reporter, a famous one at that, but why would somebody be interested in his personal life? Enough to act paparazzi like? Even Imlie for that matter. A poor girl from the village, does that warrant all the press attention? story hain... teek hain...maan lete hain.
Adi questions the integrity of the journalists, and not everybody reports to him like Jainendra so obviously they don't listen. They click some candid clicks of Adi comforting Imlie (Side Note: the way he was holding her was the way you would hold a crying or upset child to comfort. Not sure usme inko kya romantic dikh gaya).
After the reporters leave, Anu breaks her bombshell to Dev, that Malini told that Adi loves Imlie and that is why he was divorcing Malu. Dev is all kinds of hila dula at this and turns to look at Adi-Imlie .... Cue for our Adi to lovingly hold Imlie's chin and see if she is okay.
Now that the monster of suspicion is imbedded in Dev, cue for Malini to enter.
I was pure shocked at this. No acknowledgement of either Adi or Imlie. Straight confronts her mother, makes it all about her mom insulting and not respecting her profession/place of work and as an afterthought mentions Adi and her "Behan" as being insulted.
Once she starts talking, adi who looks disinterested, walks over to Imlie to hold her. After Malu drags her mom away, koi aur nahi hain dekhne ke liye, to Dev nazar gaadtha hain Adi and Imlie pe.. Adi at this point is like "F off dude" and takes her back home.
In the T's house, I will not comment on the aunties or the phones... zyada baat ho chuki hain... But did you guys notice how they all stood? Giving room for Badki kaki and Pallo to join when they did? Imlie returns to an emotional homecoming. She is hugged, consoled and taken away. (Point to keep in mind, she was holding it all in all this while.)
This is where Aditya's jealous streak kicks in... Badki kaaki wants Imlie to get married ... :) Aditya screams she is already married.
Aditya behaved totally in character for me today. Be it the panga with the journos, haan thoda sa jarr hua when he literally pleads with AC "hamara peecha chodne ka kya lengi aap" but I guess he has reached the end of his thether. and when he gives a look to Dev before exiting the college, if looks could kill, Dev would be kab ka bhasam.
Malini acted in character, a little bit self-centered and only about what was important for her to see at that point.
Considering this was the precise tamasha he wanted to avoid, I am curious to tomorrow now. No specific insights to be derived from the episode itself.
Precap is another story altogether. That Pic looks Hawwt! "Imlie tum apni jaga khud baogi" came true.
But explain something to me. Aparna had warned Anu to not come to theri house anymore. Anu itni besharam hain ki phir bhi chali jaati hain... ek baar nahi... baar baar... woh bhi chori chupe?
WTH!
Adi accepting can now lead to further action from Anu, or the Ts themselves. Per the BTS, Sk and Meeti were at the function too. THey did not appear in the promo though. SK ka reaction to this whole thing would be interesting. Usne bada yakeen karke bheja tha Imlie ko DC ke saath. Would be interesting to see his reaction.
Abhi iss baar Anu kuch bole, I am pretty sure Adi and SK will both not spare her.
