Just The Girl [Ved × Keerti Drabble]

I have this random theory that Keerti and Ved will make such an amazing pairing! 😈

Enemies to lovers trope, plus they are intellectually compatible too, so we wont feel kaha phas gayi. So I've been shipping this crack ship for a few days and was inspired to write a drabble 😛

This is an AU story based in the MHRW zone ☯️

The title is from a song by Click 5 ~ Just the Girl 👍🏼

Ved had always had a thing for Keerti, ever since the first time they had met as kids, and she had fisted her hands into the material of his t-shirt, her hazel brown eyes piercing into him challengingly. He liked her fire. She had a certain spunk about her that had peaked some interest in him. He knew she would not be an easy catch and that pursuing her would probably be the most difficult thing he would ever do since he was now on enemy lines with her brother at the moment, but he had always liked a challenge, especially ones with hazel brown eyes. He needed to find one of her weaknesses, something he could take advantage of in order to to break through her hard exterior.

Everybody had a weakness right? Right? Wrong. The longer he studied her from afar, trying to calculate how he could move in, it just became even more difficult trying to determine a weakness. She had even sneered at him once when she had caught him staring at her and told him off, maybe growled would probably be more appropriate to describe the sound that had come out of her mouth.

"Don't even consider it. You're not her type, I am." He had stepped back a bit; the words had been like a slap in the face. Sunny had noticed the almost hurt look on his face and tried to rephrase what he had said, softening the blow by explaining he had not meant it like that. "Well, what did you mean?" He had asked accusingly. Sunny had tried to laugh it off but he folded his arms, waiting for an answer. Their conversation was cut short as (speak of the devil) Keerti approached them to take Sunny with her on their date. What he did miss though was the lingering glances she also threw in his direction as she left with Sunny.

Yepp, I have used the OG Keerti we all liked and appreciated, the current version has been watered down to fit the narrative. Also Ved is pretty smart so he'd be a great match! 😈

Reasons.

Firstly you have written this beautifully.

Secondly I have this strong wish to see ved and Kirti together.

Thirdly, I have imagined them the way you have portrayed..ved being the secret admirer of Kirti since childhood and Kirti being not aware

I have this thought that One day Raghav and ved, tired of their enmity would sit together and drink and talk about their life where ved would mention(without telling the name) about the girl he likes and how the girl is in love with someone else
