Thoughts on the Gossip Girl Reboot??

Premiers tomorrow on HBO Max. The difference between the OG and the Reboot is jarring according to the trailer.

Anyone gonna watch it or even remotely interested?

It is going to be flop so hard and of course i am going to watch it 😆 .

My thoughts on the reboot is that Dan is now Joe Goldberg for me ... forever and always. #scarred

I never watched Gossip Girl though. I've read the books and enjoyed them .... and tried the first episode on Netflix but the show didn't interest me much.

I never liked the orginal show so will probably give this one a chance

The original looked like a teen drama, this looks so much like Euphoria. The dark edgy look is such a contrast 😆

Some shows are so iconic (for whatver reasons) that its best not to touch them unless done with the original cast again. GG was one of the last teen shows that enjoyed a huge fan following, almost like a mania. This one just looks too...bland?! Despite the budget?! 😆

Is it full remake ? With Dan/Nate/Serena/Blair/Chuck characters as different actors ?

Is it continuation of those characters ?

Set years after the original ended, after Dan revealed he is Gossip Girl. New batch of Upper East Siders...until Gossip Girl makes me comeback. Doesn't look that fun tho 😆

I as in love with Serena - despite the writes making a mess of her character in the latter seasons. Blake Lively was a dream in the series, and Leighton was fabulous - don't think anyone can match up to them.
