Yup. I can understand this reasoning.

He mostly has his suspicion but he wasn't sure until he chased her then once he accidentally cut her, he did feel guilty and probably forgot about his suspicion and just tried to make sure he could do first aid.

there could be two reasons

1) he wanted to see how long bon could keep the facade

2)he thought he would probably never be this close to her ever again .

he chased her because he wanted to make sure if it was bon and put haldi on her because he didnt want to hurt her ever.

my conclusion is that he had a fair idea she was bon but he was not 100% sure about it .

if we notice the episodes ani is slowly melting

the first day he didnt even want to lstn to her

but on the 2nd day he read her letter

and on 3rd he was this close to her and also spoke to her.

i think ani was curious to know what was happening with that person

he went there and the rest whatever happened , he did it in a flow

he was not thinking with his mind

he felt it was someone special, someone he wants near him

his heart impacted him so much that he failed to realized that the person standing near him was not a man but a woman

when she got hurt, he felt the pain so he ran towards her

he would never have touched any woman if he had it in his mind that this is a girl.

the moment he saw long hairs, he turned back realizing what he was doing

he was not supposed to see a woman this way aur even touch her

but he knew it was someone special

uska dimag eksdum kaam nahi kar raha tha and he did whatever his heart made him do

until it was his mind coming back to senses on seeing the hair
