Today we found out what happens when we build castles of delusions in our mind and they are blown to smithereens by reality. We see the true face behind the veneer that they have been hiding away from the world and even themselves. That is exactly what happened today with Malini - today she showed her true colours and exactly what conclusion she wanted from the current situation and from Adi & Imlie.
The episode started with Imlie talking to Meethi & SK regarding her search to speak to Malini and us understanding why Imlie suddenly had to go without saying anything to anybody. Meethi was the voice of reason when she scolded Imlie that going anywhere without telling Adi can have dangerous repercussions, which was proved in minutes, when Nishant came running to fetch her and tell her the BS is not well. Yeh sunkar Imlie realized the gravity of the situation and just ran to go see her BS. On reaching home, she is faced with the scene at T house where everyone is expecting Malini to come and cure their ailing son who has been calling out for her. Nishant smartly distracts them and signals Imlie to go to see Adi.
Adi on the other hand as usual was behaving like the stubborn child he is, refusing to put patti from Rupi di or eat anything till he sees Imlie. Once Rupi di sees Imlie, she tries to make her understand that you cannot leave your relationship for anyone. Whatever happened in the past cannot change that Imlie's present & future is with Adi. She tries to make her understand just how much her leaving without telling anyone has affected Adi, so much that he has gotten literally sick with worry.
Bechare T family are still in the illusion that Malini is the reason for Adi's sickness while Nishant & Rupi try to make them understand that he will be fine. In the meanwhile Malini comes to the T house and finds out that he has been calling "wapas aa jao" and everyone again assumes he has been calling for Malini. Nishant tries to signal Malini that her going then will not be the best idea, but Malini as usual was still in her delusions that Adi is really calling for her, and started to go to see him in his room.
Finally we then get the scene we have been wanting to see since so long. Adi & Imlie actually talked and how. Adi today said everything that he has been thinking since the time that Imlie called his pyaar as daya and ehsaan. All his insecurities and worries that she will leave him and go for the khushi of everyone else without considering his feelings just came out. It was so well done. That roothna, the naraazgi that she is willing to put everyone else's khushi above his just came out of him like a lava. He was done trying to convince her of his love for her and has given her a trailer of just what can happen if she ups and leaves him. That statement shakes Imlie out of her stance and she realizes just how much of her actions have affected Adi. She finally convinces him to eat and he reluctantly agrees to eat, but only on his own, just to show that he is still mad at what she did.
As usual, the above conversations were intercut with Malini building her castle of delusions that Adi must have called her as we have a 7 yrs long relationship which cannot be instantly forgotten, or if he was calling me in such a state, maybe he also may have feelings for her. She barges into Adi's room to see him coolly eating seb and Imlie taking care of him. That one dhrishya was the wreaking ball that demolished the castle of delusions she had been building all the way there. Her taunts to Imlie & Adi that she should have remembered that there was someone there to take care of him was the visible breakdown of her hopes that Adi would still have some feelings for her. It was hilarious to see the level of delusions that she has built and her façade breaking on realizing the futility of her expectations.
Is pure setup ke wajah se didi could finally embrace her inner AC. She blasted at poor Imlie for hiding the truth & running away to become mahaan, when actually she had no rights to do so. Reminded me of the Adi & Malini confrontation when he said I am afraid to tell the truth as I do not know how you will react and she retorted that don't, I can take it. Malini referenced the same in her tirade to Imlie when she said Adi hid the truth from me for months and you are doing the same by hiding it from the family and involving me in their misunderstandings.
Malini unraveled today to show her true side. She came out of the pseudo mahaan act she was putting on for so long and showed exactly what she thought of Imlie, despite being her elder sister. She spewed out her inner thought of actually wanting Imlie to leave everything and go, just so that she can take her place. But because that would be too scandalous and her true self may not be digestible for someone like Imlie, she tries to make up by giving her "advice" wrapped in more taunts. Didi's mahaanta act took a massive blow, but the issue is that Adi & Imlie will never be able to see her in that true light. They will always assume that she reacted like this because she was hurt in unnecessarily getting involved in their lives. They will not be able to see her true personality - the clingy, manipulative and vile person who just wants Adi, despite him never having given any inkling that he wants her back.
Didi's beizzati continued with first Adi taunting her that she should have known better and then finally Nishant telling Aparna to not stop her. Malini today has been repeatedly told that she is not needed in Adi & Imlie's life, but I have no hopes that she has been able to take that hint. I mean even after going out of the house, the woman just sees KC & collapses in his arms, where literally minutes before she was contemplating if Adi had feelings for her. Uska ek sahara chut gaya and she desperately caught on to another one, without any introspection on her behavior whatsoever.
Precap shows AC listening in and maybe the setup for the inky Imlie that we say in the spoiler section. Let us see just how much more damage these delusions of didi's continue to affect Adi & Imlie's lives.
