Taapsee Panu. I'm baffled at how other more talented, charismatic and pretty South Indian actresses didn't managed to make it in Bollywood while she seems to be thriving there.

*By South Indian actress, I mean those who mainly worked in the South and tried their luck in the North (eg. Tamannaah ; Hansika ; Kajal...)

Varun Dhawan. Not surprised that he was an A-lister but at the magnitude of his success. He was deemed a good actor for his subpar performance in Badlapur and from then on was deemed one of the hottest thing in Bollywood.

I personally don't think he's that handsome, charismatic or talented. He barely improves and the slump in his career shows how his limitations couldn't help him maintain his status and soar.

For me:

Alia Bhatt (she's so mediocre in every department)

Tiger Shroff (zilch acting skills/ wooden)

Sara Ali Khan ( can't act for peanuts)

Salman Khan (post 2010 he neither looks good nor can act)

It's not surprising really.

Alia has the entire Bollywood media backing her. Her PR is exceptional and Karan Johar is her godfather. You'd have to be some next-level bad not to succeed when everything is rigged in your favor. Plus, she's a decent actress.

Tiger has filled Salman/Akshay's void as the young action star. He's also an insider. Hard not to make it.

As for Salman, he was already a huge star in the 90s and he wasn't a lazy actor back then. Salman is the only superstar in modern history who's delivered blockbusters in Bollywood's three main genres: romance, action, and comedy. Tiger has taken over as the young action star. Varun wants to be the young comedy star. And, the romantic star notion has been dead since SRK's decline.

Sara isn't really a star, so she's redundant in this discussion.

The one actor who has enough mileage, even if she's not a star, is Taapsee. I thought she was fab in Baby, but the hype surrounding her is baffling. It's mostly media-centric hype. I think she is a decent actor but the way she carries herself, I'm surprised that she's such a hotshot. This recent episode with Raja Sen and Shubra Gupta kinda does expose her as sasti Kangana.

I totally agree with Tiger's, tbh his main source of success is the Baaghi series😆, but I heard he improved but have not watched any of his movies lately so can't say much.

Sara Ali Khan well when I saw her in Simbaa I thought she will do well and improve, but proved me wrong in Love Aaj Kal 2.

Salman Khan lol😆(well he was good in Bajrani Bhaijaan though, other Salman movies i saw lately I would say he worked in this industry for years so itna sa acting to aayega hi)

As for Alia well I kinda disagree here, she was horrible in SOTY and so annoying, but she is one actress that indeed surprised me over the years, among the current nepo actresses she is the best now. She did really well in Dear Zindagi, Raazi, Highway she justified her role.

Besides these four, I also wanted to mention about Varun. He does mainly comedy centric movies, but I feel he is better in serious roles, sooo much better. I still don't get why he doesn't do such roles much and does movies that requires overacting.

Queen of struggling Ananya Pandey .

In women, Katrina . Her acting is atrocious in all of her films. Yet somehow some ppl keep casting her in big budget movies.

In men, Tiger, tiger cannot act. I still can't believe how ppl watch his action movies cuz there are literally zero expressions on his face. Even vin diesel is an action star but even he shows minimum acting skills .
